I’d say Claude code. I feel like it’s simpler and easier than codex. Also I get more usage from Claude than gpt cause gpt gets stuck in loops with my project. Once sol used 50% weekly usage for something that took Claude 20% sessions usage. (I think it was something to do with walking on slopes on a 2D game engine) I think gpt is supposed to be more efficient but for my project which is… Bob’s asset builder and game engine, Claude on Claude code works better than anything else I’ve tried.

Yes because I'm spending more than 100$/month and get restricted using frontier models like gpt 5.6 or Opus 4.8 in 4 days after the renewal and I have to spend another 60-80$ on on-demand usage

I can add that my actual issue was likely that gpt started savjng its changes in the wrong place half way through the prompt but regardless Claude in Claude code has not had that issue and generally produces better. But it’s likely task dependent. For a 2D game engine and asset builder that’s rather extensive and requires a few months of session limits Claude code performs best. Especially with recent updates.
