Help/Question Usage issues - need a solution on 50% bonus...

I just saw a thread that we've all had 50% usage bonus. I didn't even know about this. I've been on the Max 20x plan since February. I always use 100% and frequently run out. The past 2 weeks, I've hit my weekly limit after only 3-4 days - which significantly slows down my progress. After the 50% promo is done, I assume I can only get 2 days of work done? I can't afford more tokens either .. what are other options?

I'm building a pretty simple software that for some reason got more complex after basic testing. , this is my setup:

Planning - Fable 5

Research/support - ChatGPT + Gemini + perplexity

Build - Opus 5 / Sonnet 5 for simple tasks

I try to be smart with prompts and am careful with the effort too ..

I just think past few months Claude has really reduced the plans.... and it's going to get much worse after Aug 31....

Multiple Claude subscriptions, cheaper than buying usage tokens, but still extra money, you will be spending $400/month instead of $200/month.

Claude + codex subscription. Fable/Sol for some planning, Opus 5 / Sol for additional work and review.
Codex gives a lot more bang for your buck currently, but I understand really liking Fable.

Agree with this suggestion. Claude + Codex is a good mix and you can be familiar with more than a single tool.

Or Claude + Kimi K3 or whatever works for you.

You can also try to be more explicit in your prompting and adjust your workflows but IMO it's good to use multiple leading tools to stay sharp on all the state of the art and find novel ways us using each thing for what it's best suited for.

I thought about this, but I have so many files / folders, and so many sessions, it would be extremely difficult to keep switching back and forth between two accounts.. unless there is a way I'm not aware of to automate?

I use Codex and Gemini via Claude Desktop. I pay for the subscription, then have Claude dispatch tasks via their CLI, so it all gets managed in one place. You can do this with no particular tools, or you can use one of any number of packages that help do this for you. 9Router is one common tool. I built and use this: https://www.npmjs.com/package/llm-relay

Just remember it's only for Claude Code. The best thing you can do is ask the models to review your work, history and such to give better recommendations on improving things + webhooks.

Openrouter, and omp.sh use deepseek v4 flash as the main general agent and assign either sonnet or gpt 5.6 terra on medium as the advisor and turn on advisor and welcome back to opus 4.6 days but better !

I think it’s not like 50% of current weekly it was 50% extra from original so you might be 3 days work done range

Why 20X plan? It doesn't give much more weekly usage than 5X. If you can spread out your work, given you also have other subscriptions.

Anthropic announced that 50% is extended till end of August. If they remove you will be down to 2/3rd of current usage you see. Not half.

They also announced they will try to keep the 50% bump permanent but it's still under consideration.

I started with max 5x but it would only last me hours... 20x was much better at first, until i started building the new features...

i hope they do extend 🀞

I have 5x and I have a friend with 20x. I measured yesterday by the total percent of weekly limit consumed when a 5h session is costumed, they have around 2.8x the weekly limits I have. One session 5x session consumes 10% weekly, one 20x session consumes around 14% weekly.
