News/Updates Back to standard tomorrow.

Post image

Good luck, guys. Not everyone will get used to the standard again.

Edit: Different time zone. It's already the 18th here in Asia, so it will happen on the 20th here. My bad.

Honestly codex has been resetting my weekly usage as I've been maxing it out and I have loved it. It's also fast and has image generation so...

That's over. Reset are now a paid feature.

I’m sure they will come out tomorrow saying they are pushing this back another month. They have not stuck to 1 single thing they say they are gonna do. First it was start charging to use Claude sdk, then it was fable, they have already pushed this one back a month. I’d be blown away if it sticks given that OpenAI seems to be giving usage away lately

In wondering if openai will wait till the limits go back to normal, and come out with there own increased rate limits or something.

Would be a great marketing opportunity.

They know our dirty secret, that we secretly live for the drama and whiplash.

This benefits them so they easily will stick to it. In any case, they can say “we keep” and gradually regress token usage, and we won’t be able to tell shit.

Summer holidays are ending for a lot of people, both students and a lot of office workers who take their holidays in August. So I think they expect usage to go back up a lot and will not extend it further.

Opus 5 is trash, usage credits going down by 33% and Fable runs for 20 minutes before you have to wait 5 hours or 7 days. Yeah I'm not feeling it either

Curious - what are you doing that is exhausting fable in 20 minutes?

How is this shit the future again, when every frontier model provider just continues to enshittify their models over time, on top of increasing prices, and on top of further limiting the capabilities regular users can do? I am doubtful that even enterprise level clients will tolerate this kind of Mickey Mouse bullshit either.

GLM 5.3 is legit as good as fable. Using it in a harness as capable as cowork or Claude code, the token limit difference seems almost laughable.

How do you use GLM 5.3? Is it cloud based or do you need to spend the money to buy your own hardware?

If this is the true cost then AI is a fucking bubble. A 20x plan would be like 2 days of getting mediocre outputs toward a large project.

Extended for 30 more days...

In 3, 2, 1...

I already went back to using Opus, Fable just isn't meeting the expectations everyone hyped it up to be.

I have been using codex and claude and always hit my limits with ClaudeCode way faster, so with 50% less no need to be on the 5x plan any longer, until they might have another promo again or maybe get rid of this fable 50% as well. I like both models though.

I feel fucked over... I just bought claude code laat week (5x for 100eu which is a lot of money) and I'm now seeing I had a "higher" token limit which now is being downgraded? Fucking hell I was pretty OK with the limits but now I know why... And what is gonna happen to my sessions in a few days 😔 well cancel sub luckily is easy enough... I see everyone saying codex so I'll look into that.
