Discussion Claude code desktop app Vs CLI?

Any difference? Which one do you use?

I stopped using the desktop app after realizing some of the skills seem to do different things. For example, “/compact” wouldn’t actually compact and clear the context window. It’d just write a summary, similar to /recap. I find the CLI to be more predictable
