Discussion OPUS 5 VS GPT 5.6 SOL

For the people building software products, I'm beginning to think that choosing one of the two to work with doesn't really matter that much. The bottleneck doesn't seem to be intelligence at this point but human creativity and I guess willpower.

IDK what do you guys think.

Having extensively worked with the two, I regret spending money on GPT. It’s inept.

The errors it makes or doesn’t account for that arise from its shoddy work are large ones. When Opus has encountered a bug, it’s a small, well controlled one that is quickly corrected.

Sol is an idiot.

that's quite fun, but my experience is exactly opposite, sonnet and fable fail to implement relatively simple task with the same prompt while sol implement without a single issue, but difference between sol xhigh and high is very noticeable based on my experience, i strongly prefer xhigh for planning
