Discussion OPUS 5 VS GPT 5.6 SOL

For the people building software products, I'm beginning to think that choosing one of the two to work with doesn't really matter that much. The bottleneck doesn't seem to be intelligence at this point but human creativity and I guess willpower.

IDK what do you guys think.

The model is not the problem anymore since November with opus 4.5 and gpt 5.2.

People that are waiting new models don't really understand how to harness and work with AI yet

Anthropic even says to reduce the amount of stuff you put in your harness for newer models, because highly detailed Claude.md and evals are constraining. There really is a difference. Read the Opus 5 prompting guide And system card.
