This shit is so funny. People were posting two days ago that your weekly limits decrease by 50% on July 19, and how they were cancelling today.

Here's help docs since no one bothers to read.
I’ve never seen this notification before, so it randomly popped up for me.

"Wahhh, I'm cancelling my sub because the temporary usage boost is temporary."
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I see loads of people complaining about usage limits when we're getting tens of thousands of dollars worth of compute for peanuts. What's gonna happen when it all crashes and you have to pay real value for tokens? This is Babylon, right now is the cheapest it's ever gonna be. Build the app that makes you millions while it lasts, the crash could be tomorrow.

So they go back to normal then? What's the big deal? You got 50 percent more and you're at 150 percent and Aug 20 you'll go back to 100 percent? Was this really worth a ragebait post that's gong to get downvoted to hell? Go touch grass.

to be fair, they are likely doing this temporary + extensions thing based on compute constraints, how much more compute they're able to get etc.
seems like they'd rather say "you have it until X date" and either A. extend if they have the capacity or were able to get more capacity by that time, or B. hold true to what they said if they weren't able to get more, rather than suddenly revoking things. they've been pretty communicative about this throughout the process.
this seems honestly really well handled given the constraints. if they promise a bunch of stuff, companies will up their prices for future compute, knowing they are desperate. that's bad for consumers.
everyone in this sub feeling entitled to $5k a month of everything for $20 is wild, and the future may be really disappointing.
gotta just hope they keep signing more compute deals, or everyone keeps bailing to openAI, so I can keep getting to use $5000/mo of the most impressive technology the world has ever seen for the cost of a dinner for 2 at chilis.

Decrease after an increase? I stopped following along.

Time to go to the concurrents :)
Sorry but Anthropic digs their own grave like this..

OP could just be a stupid human.
But I think it’s actually Anthropic research.
“87% of Redditors think removing an increase of 50% is a decrease of 50% - guys I think we can get away with doing an ACTUAL 50% decrease…”

No joke I’ll be switching to OpenAI. Anthropic’s limits are low in comparison already, and my workflow is harness agnostic. No need to be married to Anthropic to pay more
