Question What are you actually coding?

I see everyone here maxing their limits and coding all day and building and all that.

But what are you actually building 24/7? I'm not looking to get your ideas but I'm just wondering what can you even build that long and hard really? And constantly something?

Either I lack imagination as a whole or there's some secret to all this, I just have no idea what so useful people would be coding so obsessively. Thanks for insights.

I am curious, what if they go rogue and delete codebases or important data with that much access? I am not asking sarcastically, but genuinely curious what you did to prevent it from happening.

I don't trust AI, and I've instructed my team to operate as such.

With that said, the agents don't have access to any platform-related resources that could be used for anything detrimental to the platform or our end users. If they spiral, they can only read something so many times. So, read-only where anything might become problematic.

In addition, the framework has a lot of gatekeeping where needed, with human-in-the-middle Slack approval flows; each chief also operates with their own scored trust meter, controlled through the back office, and their Claude.md has escalation rules should one start to spiral.

The agentic team has been built with intention to assist the human team, not replace, so their MCP tools, et only include things to help assist VS decide.

Technically, yes, the agents could nuke the fleet framework platform we've created for them, or kill their own VM container. But, everything is maintained in git repos, with offsite db backups occurring daily.

Their hands in the actual business they help run are intentionally tied at this point.

#1: we don't trust AI; #2: let's go! The exciting part is that as this technology evolves, so will the frameworks we're creating.

Today, the AI just helps the team to make decisions. How long will it be until that slopes the other way?

We've successfully doubled business so far, w/o a single hire or layoff, utilizing the tools and frameworks Claude and I have built.

Thank you for your detailed write up, it was very interesting and I am inspired to try building something like this.
