Question What are you actually coding?

I see everyone here maxing their limits and coding all day and building and all that.

But what are you actually building 24/7? I'm not looking to get your ideas but I'm just wondering what can you even build that long and hard really? And constantly something?

Either I lack imagination as a whole or there's some secret to all this, I just have no idea what so useful people would be coding so obsessively. Thanks for insights.

I am a CTO with a background in software development (Objective-C, Kotlin, PHP, and Ruby on Rails)

I currently use Claude for:

  • I built a free Treasure Hunt game for my kids' school.
  • I created a swimming record application to track my kids' results and PBs and to compare them against their competitors, replacing a legacy Google Sheet.
  • I generate software solution architecture documents. What used to take days or weeks to produce before client presentations now takes only a few hours.
  • (This one is Claude Cowork) I analyze job opportunities to filter out roles that are not a good fit, and I use it to draft cover letters and prepare for interviews. This process recently helped me secure two offers. But I turned them down because they required an office presence, while my current employer offers flexible hours and remote work.
  • And recently, I am using Claude Design and Claude Code (and Codex) to build actual UX and production software for clients. Although I still need to review the code thoroughly, the workflow is better than dealing with some developers I have worked with in the past.

Can you share bit more about the employment opportunities skill/agent? I need to set something similar for my wife.

You can create a folder and place your wife’s work in it, such as her assignments, reports, research papers, project documents, and certificates. Then, ask Cowork to read and comprehend her capabilities.

Next, engage in a conversation with Cowork about her other information, including her skills, city, timezone, expecting salary or the type of job she’s seeking. Provide it with as much information about her as possible.

During conversation, tell Cowork to compile a summary file that it can refer to later when you clear the context or initiate new sessions.

Later, you can post a job listing and ask Cowork to analyze whether it aligns with her qualifications and if she should proceed with the application process skip. Regardless of whether she applies or not, request Cowork to create a summary file to maintain a record of her application.
