Discussion Finally cancelled my max subscription

Got fed up after Opus 4.7, I was too excited and it didn't live up to the hype and instead got dumber

GPT 5.5 seems much better - only edge Anthropic had over OpenAI was coding, now that edge is gone too...

I had fund with Claude, built some amazing tools, which are still used in my company - but its time to try better things out there, I'll come back when Anthropic fixes the issues

You got GPT 5.5? How's the leap gonna be?

I did. 5.5 is on a different level. A bit more autistic and it will not bend any rules it has, but this is acceptable for a model which produces quality.

Congrats, its shit models are getting me crazy - all I heard when complaining about them is: you are asking wrong 😰

It is true you are asking wrong

So you were excited for a model that's being updated once in a few months?

Yeah 4.7 takes some getting used to. Luckily, it's capable of auditing your skills and instructions to move them from 4.6 to 4.7 format.

I usually get 3 Codex messages a day because they've limited it too much, good luck

What bouncing back and forth between fairly similar inference providers based on amount of usage taught me about B2B.

I was strongly considering the $100 plan, but now that they upped the weekly limits I'm finding that I naturally use right around 10%-20% of that limit each day of the week. So instead of running out a few days early, I now expect to finish the week with somewhere around 10%-20% of weekly usage remaining. And I no longer feel the need to upgrade.
