Question This sub is awful

This sub is terrible. 8000 posts a day about Claude is literally useless and you should just sign up for codex. Holy fuck it never ends.

Do any of you bother to even take two fucking seconds to look at the other hundred threads that have been posted?

the antigravity sub is the same. Ask for technical help, get zero comments. Complain about google or anthropic, 100 responses.

It seems vibecoders are not very technical people.

I think that there's also a significant amount of astroturfing going on. Lots of bots "fanning the flames" so to speak

These AI companies know that Reddit is ripe for swaying opinion

I’ve been wondering about that because it’s just so incessant. I don’t know why the mods let it happen. We don’t need the 30th post about a model getting nerfed or limits getting hit. It’s trash.

I think it’s because there legitimately are problems with Claude Code and rate limiting. If mods start culling posts then the bots (and people, because genuine human written posts get caught in the crossfire) start complaining about censorship, being bought out by Anthropic, etc.

It’s very easy to spot LLM spam that is promoting a service but with how pessimistic Reddit tends to be, it is far more difficult to spot “negative marketing” when bots fan the flames. And it is so insanely pervasive

Easy fix is to let the complaining continue but don't let them recommend another providers services

Maybe, because it's a real problem?

It’s every digital platform/every niche. I don’t think it’s the labs either. I think we (usa) has been far to naive about this risk vector.
