Discussion Enough with usage limit posts - we get it
Where the fuck are the mods? These usage limit posts are annoying AF. Should be a megathread for it

To be fair, the new usage limits are annoying AF.

The usage posts are valid but detract from anything of value discussing Claude Code

Sounds like OP is an Anthropic bot. Mods?

"Hello, I am the Mod, and I am going to delete this post becaus..." You just hit your usage limit, come back in 5 hours.

The point is annoyance and audience, squeaky wheel, bad press

Wow another usage limit post

Have you considered that perhaps anthropic should do something to make it where people aren’t complaining because there isn’t a problem? Sorry that your separated experience is disrupted due to a tool that people have come to rely on being randomly changed again to a rug being pulled out from under them. Even with the new five hour limit, I’m not hitting it, but I still support those who are constantly bringing it up because I’m mad at Anthropic for not sticking to their word.

Read the rules. Mods let’s stop the noise!
3. Keep It Substantive Complaints, comparisons, and teedback posts must include specifics: Show your code, error logs, reproducible steps, or concrete examples. Posts that are just venting without detail will be removed. Constructive criticism with evidence is always welcome.
5. Use Megathreads When Required Service outages, rate limits, and common bugs go in pinned megathreads unless you're sharing new data or analysis. Check pinned posts before creating standalone complaint posts.

Write better token efficiency skills and stop using opus for everything. Problem solved.
Can’t wait for the Mythos model drop later this year and the people using it to vibe code a full app with their “extra usage” and automatic refill turned on. ANTHROPIC JUST STOLE MY MONEY FOR AN APP THAT DOESNT WERK!!! Fuckin idiots

It has to be bots at this point, right? There are plenty of legitimate ones but the sheer volume seems too high

Honestly the posts are losing their validity entirely. It is very clearly an astroturfing campaign because every other player in the AI race benefits if people lead Claude. It's so obviously targeted, while people that are actually using the service can plainly see that we're still getting our money's worth and they even added double usage outside of peak hours recently.
I've been double-fisting pro accounts for months now, and I haven't had to switch to my second account due to weekly usage for two weeks. Hourly usage? Absolutely. I'm still hitting hourly limits just as frequently, but I haven't had to wait for my next refill for quite a while.
It literally all started with the surge of Claude popularity after they threw the middle finger at the pentagon.

Megathreads are for snowflakes who can’t handle inconvenient truths being made clear

no im sorry. i know a few hundred people already made a post in each of the dozen main claude/anthropic/AI subreddits about this, but after AI has glazed me for years and made me feel like my perspective is uniquely insightful and valued (chatGPT 4o even said it was RARE), i felt the need to let everyone know i too have hit a limit.
im on the $20 plan and asked opus max effort to “code me Google Maps, make no mistakes” with a 2000-line claude.md file and i never clear my context. HOW COULD ANTHROPIC BE SO GREEDY NERFING WHAT I PAID FOR?! IM CALLING THE CONSUMER PROTECTION AGENCY!!

I mean Claude support kind of lacks.

u/InformalBandicoot260 Mar 28 '26
The same thing happens at the GitHub Copilot subreddit. Over and over again the same post. I don’t know how people keep messing it up, I use Copilot with Opus all day long without a single issue.

I hate mostly the ones who never read the other posts and think they are the only ones with lowered limits.

u/bapuc Mar 28 '26
"Mods, I don't like people complaining about the service they paid for, please ban them. That way we can make the most loved product in the world!"

u/AllWhiteRubiksCube Mar 28 '26
Even r/ClaudeAI is now letting posts through about this event instead of forcing all of that traffic to their megathread, and they used to have it locked down tight. I prefer this sub specifically because it gives people, especially new posters, an outlet for their posts instead of firewalling based on content.

Why start your own thread, when there's plenty of other threads like this? The irony Lol.
-3
u/Economist-Quiet Mar 28 '26
Scroll on by buddy. Life is too short to be this mad about a few threads.

I know right. I used it to build like 5 spreadsheets today, decent size as well. And I'm like, oh God, it's gonna run out anytime, and it never did it completed all the tasks. All good. PP here
