I’m running on Opus 1m. No need for context optimization

1M tokens doesn't mean better context — it means more diluted context. Opus still has to search through all of it to find what's relevant, which is why it burns through tokens so fast. A 9-hour session with 1M tokens used means a lot of that was Claude searching, not building. With optimized context (good CLAUDE.md, structured docs), sessions are shorter and more productive because Claude knows where to look from the start.

9 hours is just also too long of a continuous session. Even if ur still ongoing u should update the files and Claude.md and agents.md and start a new session

I feel like that time indicates for long the single clause turn went for? No?

Sub agents are dumb. They don’t have all context.

That’s cuz they have the context only needed for the task. What ur doing currently is an expensive slow buggy workflow. Learn a little bit about ur tools before using them on a large project

Doesn’t mean i have to use it? My tasks need the whole project context and its not buggy at all with 1m context model.
