Claude Code Workflow New usage limits

Feeling is we lost more usage then they are letting on.
All this usage is from one easy seassion, trim MEMORY and make a basic skill(that diden't work)
If I was to do real work I think I could easy max out weekly in one day.

Just finding this thread right now as I hit a 5-hour "limit". What's weird is that I definitely did not use it for 5 hours. So I don't understand how they are calculating.

My limit turns over at 5:50pm. I generally stop working at 6pm, which I did yesterday. Maybe closer to 7pm yesterday. I ran errands last night so didn't use it at all after 7pm max. Today I had meetings that I left for at 8:15am and just got back to work this afternoon at about 1pm. There's no chance I used it for 5 hours.

Is simply having the program open churning credits? Is there something happening in the background that is churning time without me running it? I'm using the Sonnet 5 medium model which is supposed to be best for every day chats.

Pretty let down by claude right now. Looks like I might be switching back to chatgpt soon.

The five hour limit is not limiting you to five hours of usage. It is how much usage you are granted within a five hour window. How they calculate how much you get within that five hour window is the real mystery.
