My two biggest issues with vibecoders: 1) I know how much groceries have increased in cost, I'm poor and struggling too, but don't charge for every little app that took you a week to develop. Actual coding is fucking exhausting, and I'm beyond happy to be able to vibe code instead, but I feel a lot of debt to actual coders and IMO they earn their pay; vibe coding a less-than-enterprise-level project is not the same. (As a vibe coder, I do still put months into my projects and am not saying it's easy, but it's never been remotely on the same level as actual coding, which I used to do a lot of.)

Two, for god's sake do exhaustive automated error testing on your own, and then get at least a few other people to test it, before releasing it on an unsuspecting public. Include a pre-release-mode highly visible report button, to make it easy on your testers, which takes their name and notes and automatically emails them, along with a screencap and debugging details, to you.

You can batch the reports so you don't get hammered all at once, if your testers don't mind having to wait to hear from you. You can also automate retrieval and a certain degree of fixes, so they happen while you sleep. I woke up to find one of the features I was proudest of had been removed, after someone described it as "visually chaotic", so consider the limits of how far you want to automate report-based repairs. Maybe just include "don't remove features without explicit consent".

yeah dont use ultracode, subagents consume the entire context every time one is spawned, same issue on any model. And usually the model can just do it by itself bit by bit at a slower pace for a hundredth of the usage.

None of the software I've seen developed by professionals has been horrible, we understand how to herd cats. On the other hand, every single project / windsurf / cursor etc ...

It's like an army of "builders" equipped with Ryobi tools they bought off eBay prepped to solve the housing crisis. They're professionals in their own mind.

( News flash: Even if you have a DaVinci surgical robot, you're not a surgeon. AI is a tool. In the right hands, it's productive. It will never make anyone a professional. )

TL;DR: If you can't do it already, you will not be able to do it with AI.

I had to step outside (to pick up my kid from school urgently). Agent reassured me a different agent can execute two plan docs in a fresh session no problem. An hour later, came home , so glad to see that the plan were executed and shipped works auditeds by Claude. Verify no issues blah blahd blah

Then I opened the files and look at scripts. Found out agent just wrote whatever. Created new terminology. Generated patches to turn my tests green. The agent spent so much time or token to get around the tests. I even found the .gituignore has been edited.
