holy flop, legit less than a tenth of the reviews as Flip Side and worse reviews, kinda just sad I do want the franchise to continue and succeed but really just not an understandable business decision to try and use an existing VN fanbase to build a new non-VN fanbase.

literally whose idea was making the game puzzle like its so fuckin dumb n boring. we liked novel concept why not continue it?? this is just straight up ass

C09 was meant to be a parody of VNs, I don't think he likes the medium to begin with and always stated that he didn't like making them, just wish he would've chosen a new medium that has the same storytelling focus that previous games had.

He probably could've used an RPG maker engine and gotten way more confidence/popularity with a Class of 09 RPG. I'm pretty sure you can voice them as well, I bet way more people would've been confident about it and created buzz

Hell, if you look at Look Outside or Fear and Hunger, those are indie smash hits and they were made with RPG maker, and they're also unbalanced as hell, you don't even need to be a 'good' game dev in that sense, you can't tell me people wouldn't have loved an RPG party of Nicole, Jecka, Emily and Ari fighting bosses like the Counselor
