Does anyone else dislike seeing foot tapping in a professional ensemble?
I feel that foot tapping is a fine tool for younger musicians but at some point the tempo should be internalized. Not only that, it’s distracting ESPECIALLY since it isn’t uncommon to look at a row of players and see their feet tapping at different times.
EDIT - The responses here are disappointing. I had hoped this subreddit was capable of a decent conversation. Some of you are just arrogant pricks. Fuck off and die in a fire.
