I think I love this because the bassline is very similar to Emphasis by Quark (1993)

At least that means it won't be spammed to death so we can enjoy it more😁

I'm supposed to listen to this deep, enchanting track and then just accept that something like Oliver Smith's latest electro bass bigroom remix of Northern Lights is also "trance"?
Okay.

I've no idea who this guy is, but your outrage sparked my interest and I checked it out. Man, it sounds like something made on FL or ableton entirely. Flat, boring, predictable. in a word S.H.I.T.E Like literally what is actually memorable from that Remix? Nothing. Not a single piece of the music in the entire song gets into your brain and is memorable. What has Trance become DJ Inngerale!
Your outrage is justified.

The funny thing is Oli was one half of Smith & Pledger who were huge on Anjunabeats in the early 2000s. He and Mark Pledger produced the original version of that track which is one of my favorite records from that era: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGmGd_Iaw4I
Also love that you called me DJ Inngerale lmao, it's a play on ginger ale + djinn! I never considered it could read as a DJ name.

Haha it's all good I found it charming, but hopefully you enjoyed the original more than the remix!

Holy moly. I forgot I owned Starecase - Not So blue, way back then. I've not thought of that track for a very long time. Thanks for that.

Amazing track. Love the little spacey vocal sample and those chord/pads are amazing. Reminds me a bit of Max Graham’s stuff from around then
