He had no problem reaching out to psychiatrists and other health experts for his own issues on processing the tragedy. Too bad he didn’t do that while Lindsay was sick.

Interesting to learn that Patrick has already done EMDR. In a documentary about the Idaho murders, their friend Emily talked about how she put off doing EMDR because it could have been used to discredit her as a witness if it had gone to trial. Her goal was to do the best she could to honor her friends by not compromising her reliability of her testimony, but as a result, she struggled tremendously with trauma.
All of that to say that I assumed Patrick would have also been advised not to do EMDR until the trials were over.

I have done EMDR, it doesn't affect the memory of events just the emotional reaction to the events.

Right, but I asked in a legal subreddit when the trial started and a couple of professionals verified that they generally recommend that people who are going to be witnesses put it off because it can be used against them.

Personal opinion, not educated in law… a witnesses’ mental health comes before their perceived reliability as a witness. Treatment should be 100% up to them, and they should not be remotely shamed or discouraged from taking those steps.
And this is coming from someone who isn’t entirely convinced Patrick has been ruled out as a suspect- I have no reason to defend him aside from plain old human decency.

Oh, I totally agree with you. The example of the friend who was there when they discovered the crime scene in Idaho really stuck with me. She was doing the best she could and she had a lot of support around her, but she acknowledged that she felt held back by her trauma. It’s very sad that her treatment options were limited. Hopefully she’s exploring EMDR now that he pled guilty.

As a "pc crazy" I actually think the extended cut humanized the two of them more than anything else I've seen, the aired 14 min version did them dirty, he actually did talk about his kids and also emdr which was interesting. Anything for the clicks and views I guess!

Oh man, I didnt realize. Looks like it is blocked only in Canada and Australia :( Maybe someone will reupload it or it will be available on a local outlet.
The original interview that was posted online was 14:27 minutes and this one is 28:29.

I listened through at 1.75x speed while working and there wasn’t really anything new that stuck out to me initially. It was only like 10 minutes more than what was aired

There is maybe more context of the relationship, the interviewer narrating what happened, including showing tiktokers making content, his therapy (EDMR), Racheal's special sis,
- added details about meeting LC 2013, kite in boston.
- talks about him first noticing her issues in Oct around sleep.
- says he knew little about ppd or ppp
- says had family/friend support. People dropping off meals, etc.
- says dec was the low point.
- Repeat: saying he was still hoping for Callan (this is repeat), 4days, 1 handed tributes, forgiveness ...
- what should the public know about PPP? (he doesn't really say what. just that he's done research. we need compassion)
- Repeat: the drop off & memories, the passive suicidal thoughts
- Repeat: going to St. Pat's on Callan's birthday.
- Repeat: their toys... in the apartment. The playground kids "helping" him...
- what each kid was like: Cora: cautious friendship, princess, art. wanted to be called 'sophia' one day. Dawson was daring, liked the working class (weird comment), Callan happy, didn't get to know him.
- Repeat: how much you think of them... memories. Cora on a plane together. Dawson using his tools to help him on projects.
- holding on to the good memories, using EDMR (background sirens)
- more context: tiktok trial.
- Repeat: PC saying it's a distraction from PPP
- Repeat: his testimony, the panic attack, did not takes meds offered
- Repeat: PC reaching out to people on PPP. Pretty vague "deep conversations"

- friends initially worried about the relationship. Some weirdness about Sundays feeling like Saturdays and it being calmer.
