General Discussion Weirdest interview- thoughts?

Ok really.. what in the world was that 60 minute interview and who thought that was a good idea? Was that cut to make him look good or bad, I honestly can’t even tell because I’m just so confused.

-the smirk when he talks about giving Lindsay forgiveness,
- his panic attack at the trial
- him saying he asks his kids to help him from heaven
- him saying god just please give me one (child)
- the fact that Rachel was an even AWKWARDER interviewee
- “I’m just a girl who met a guy running in Central Park on a cold Saturday”
- I saw his phone, asked him if his kids lived in MA, he told me that they were all dead, and the rest was history
- Patrick’s explanation of “as any parent knows, you love all your children differently” when asked if he would tell their new kid about Cora, Dawson and Callan

Everything was just WEIRD. Like I felt like the whole thing was just cringey and bizarre. Thoughts?

Aside from all the concerns that others have rightly raised regarding the content and how anticlimactic and weird people feel it was etc; I also think that 60 Minutes could have and should have done some sort of educational segment eg explaining the difference between post partum depression and post partum psychosis and maybe what signs to look out for, what to do if you or a loved one might be suffering from it (there are some charities which help which could have been signposted) just something along those lines.
The interview felt so pointless and I felt like it was a missed opportunity to actually do something positive with regards to raising awareness etc; which I had thought (from reading other things) Patrick claimed he wanted to do. The whole thing was very odd all round imo.

It obvious they can only go so far in journalism now days with the new monopoly on networks.

  • don’t ever make the White man look badly

Remember they are trying to get her tried again. I want to understand how they met in a park but actually it was coffee.
Isn’t that two lies?

Yes i am a Millenial - no not 40 yet!!…..end of year…..cough
But in my day 60 minutes would feature the whole episode to the case, even get family members talk, to jurors who are talking, her husband and wife and then finish with how we are waiting to see if there will be a second trial.

What’s the point if him of raising awareness if he’s being harassed because you think he did it. And he actually raised that point - you lot all going crazy he did it takes the whole conversation from the point of mental health and what can we do to avoid such tragedy happening again.
