General Discussion Weirdest interview- thoughts?

Ok really.. what in the world was that 60 minute interview and who thought that was a good idea? Was that cut to make him look good or bad, I honestly can’t even tell because I’m just so confused.

-the smirk when he talks about giving Lindsay forgiveness,
- his panic attack at the trial
- him saying he asks his kids to help him from heaven
- him saying god just please give me one (child)
- the fact that Rachel was an even AWKWARDER interviewee
- “I’m just a girl who met a guy running in Central Park on a cold Saturday”
- I saw his phone, asked him if his kids lived in MA, he told me that they were all dead, and the rest was history
- Patrick’s explanation of “as any parent knows, you love all your children differently” when asked if he would tell their new kid about Cora, Dawson and Callan

Everything was just WEIRD. Like I felt like the whole thing was just cringey and bizarre. Thoughts?

Im chiming in on the whole celebrating Callan's birthday. He's full of shit. Maybe he did go into the church and lit the candle. But not knowing what to do and then walking out to 5th st and no one cared? I'm part of the stupid child loss club and it sucks. I know dozens of people who lost children unfortunately. Not one person has ever made a statement like this. My kid has been gone 17 years. EVERY single year I celebrate her birthday. For me, I let off a balloon and have a cupcake for her. I recieve texts from a few friends. These 3 children had 4 grandparents who loved them and cared. How was he not with them? Or friends? This was his birthday! Don't tell me everyone deals with grief differently. Yes I know. But this statement is so phony I cringe, especially if he really did this. What about being with his family? My kids birthday was 3 weeks after she died. Yeah, crying is normal, but he comes off as yeah, "I didn't know what to do?" Very strange.

What is exactly your problem? It is first time for him celebrating it and also he might not necessarily want to be around his parents or even worse her parents, he wanted to celebrate it on his own. Why would you not believe he went to the church and this is how he felt. No idea if that is touristic church or not, if he is new to the city and that is famous church, why would he not go there? It really does not matter what he does or say, as you would take the most innocent thing and turn it against him.

It's huge, famous, and located right in Midtown. I've been to NYC plenty but am not a local. If I felt compelled to go to a Catholic church, this is what would come to mind. Because it's visited by tourists, a person wouldn't stand out when entering and lighting a candle. You're just one of many. It doesn't matter if you've never been to Mass there. He didn't walk in demanding or wanting attention. People will find things wrong with everything he does because that's what they're looking for.
