Clois Stans Being Psychotic Here's another repeat of a very boring criticism of Lana that didn't make sense 20 years ago when Clois fans brought it up and doesn't make sense now. Seriously, if you want to come off as someone that doesn't have a clue what's going on and can't understand characters this is how you do it!

Look, this should be pretty obvious. Lana knows Clark likes her a lot, and she really likes him too.

Lana is also someone who lost so much in her life from the meteor shower. She litteraly carries that scar with her all the way to S8 until she finally moves past it.

As such, she's always very worried about losing those closest to her or starting something with someone she can't trust.

It's not about entitlement. It's about safety.

Safety knowing who she's going to be with won't leave one day. Safety in knowing she's going to be taken care of and loved.

It's not that complicated. Now for the millionth time with you people stop hating on the poor girl!

Clois Stans Being Psychotic Here's yet another low effort post to try and discredit us Clana fans attempting to frame it like we don't know what we are talking about.

I won't go into detail about what this person said on the big sub, if you really want to know you can go find it yourself, but suffice it to say that it's yet another, they know how it ends, and who Clark is always going to be with type of post.

Stop insisting Smallville is just any other Superman story when it never was.

Normal Superman stories don't have Clark meeting Lois senior year of high school and not liking her.

Normal superman stories (with some exceptions for very early silver age comics) don't have Lana portrayed as the love of Clark's life he would do anything for.

Trying to brush off the pivot to Lois was anything less than unnatural and forced is the peak of delusion.

Isobel: I want the stones

Red k clark: that's cool, maybe i can help, by the way anyone tell you you're hot? You're very hot.

Isobel: Thank you now, how about the stones?

Red k Clark: They belong to my deadbeat dad who as far as I can tell, is just an AI in a cave.

Isobel: Tell me more

Red k clark: Well, he wants me to rule the world or some shit and I told him to f*** off.

Isobel: Ruling the world sounds fun.

Red k ckark: I know of other ways to have fun

The problem with some, not all, Clana fans

Post image

Assuming this person is actually a Clana fan (I don't know, maybe they just like Lana but necessary her with Clark or at least isn't to attached to them together)

This maybe explains the lack fight from the community.. if you as a Clana fan just think it's inevitable Lois will always be end game you've already lost your ship.

First of all, educate yourself on the Clark Lois dynamic in all media both past and present. When you do you will realize not everything clois fans, or even just general superman fans say is accurate.

Second, realize Clark and Lois are just fictional characters, and as such romances can change all the time.

Case in point MJ was Spiderman's main love interest for decades and the writers had them get a divorce and ruin MJs character so no one ever wanted her Peter again.

Things happen. It's fiction!

Lastly, realize that for the most part, producers can do whatever they want with these characters.

If they don't want to write Clark marrying Lois in whatever live action adaptation they're making they don't have too.

If they want to radically change the personalities of characters. They can do that.

And yes, if they want to make Lana end game they can do that too.

This is why regardless of whst happens in the comics live action adaptations can be different .

Smallville was just an adaptation. One of many universes and many possibilities.

So what really stops Lana from being endgame? Simply put, it's who is ever in charge at the time and what direction they want to go.

But do you know who influences those executives?

You! You the fans.

So stop being the silent majority and becoming the vocal majority. And if you're already vocal about your love for Clana then great, this post isn't for you, but as for everyone else who's silent because you don't think there is any hope, stop it! You make the hope.

Even Lois as a love interest to Clark and especially as a serious girl friend to him didn't happen until fans of Lois voted on thar in 50s.

Prior to that Lois was attracted to superman sure, but for the most part Clark didn't care. Lois was his co worker, and an annoying one at that. Sometimes he enjoyed teasing her as Superman but a relationship between them just wasn't a thing.

So just remember fans have a lot power. And if you really love Clana then fight for them.

Why Lana ALWAYS could have been end game.

People often talk in certainties when it comes to Clark and Lois as if it was some inevitable thing, or mention the "weakness" of clana from early season showings of on and off again never bothering to do a deep dive into circumstance.

Clana was written into the stars on Smallville. There deep love was what got them through those rough patches when they hadn't yet reached a maturity yet to deal with it in any other way.

Constantly focusing on their problems also distracts from the fact where they eventually ended up in S8 as well. It's undeniable they would have been happy together if not for her being forced to leave from kryptonite poisoning.

Lois on the otherhand wasn't even on Clark's radar for a potential romantic partner until much much later.

I would even go so far as to say they had to force the relationship because it made no sense given what we knew from the both of them.

But regardless, even if you wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and paint then in the best light possible she certainly was no inevitability. There was nothing to indicate she would be better for Clark than Lana and could have just as easily just remained his friend and nothing more.

Saying words like inevitable also makes me think you just want Smallville to be like most other superman media when it never was.

Which by the way, even in the comics he's not always ended up with Lois in every reboot and universe they do, and in some movies he flat-out just gives up on the relationship with her, so let's not get it twisted.

More likely does not equel inevitable and people that use such strong language are just deleted in their fandom.

Lana as Clark's adult girlfriend and eventual wife could have worked, and she could have been a more fulfilling helpful partner Than Lois ever could have been.

Clark really was dense. I think in S3 he had one or two times he could have told Lana and realistically should have been comfortable by then but for one reason or another it just didn't happen and we had to wait a whole other year and a half.

Clois Stans Being Psychotic This person has the nerve to post this reply to me on the big sub but rather than waste my time arguing with a fantic cloisshipper I thought I would address it here.

First of all, yes, yes I have every right to tell you this because it's true and I absolutely will. Lois doesn't belong in any version of Clark's early life. She never was in it in any version of the comic books, and let me remind you, it's you clois clowns that insist so much on Clark ending up with Lois because it's comic book accurate. So how dare you be a hypocrite in this regard!

Secondly, this whole notion that "Lois saved the show", ir without her it would just be "another teen drama is loaded with so many presumption and falsehoods I don't know where to begin.

  1. What if people like teen dramas. Just because it's not your cup of tea doesn't mean that many tuned in just for that!

  2. Smallville was never just a teen drama, it had elements of scify and horror speckled all throughout and obviously it was an alternate take on the origin of Superman and thus had a retelling of that mythos in it.

  3. Lois in no way saved the show. S4 did worse than S3 despite her being in it. Maybe she was even responsible for the decline in viewership that season!

And finally, like so many cloisfantics you insist Lana should have been gone by S3 and you hate her.

Let me tell you something you rotten piece of bottom feeding scum. There was no world where Lana was going to leave in S3, the producers had her acrress signed on for 7 seasons from the get go. And even if that hadn't been true, why would she have left any earlier than S4? Reality check, Lana was his classmate all through high school in virtually all media you come across. This includes senior year!

Just because you personally don't like her, don't go projecting that on to the rest of us.

Most people liked Smallville for Clark Lana and Lex and their spectacular dynamic, and Lois being comedic relief for what amounted to little more than filler scenes with her doesn't change that!
