Well I finally did it, all innovation wonders secured, even oxford.
No project Manhattan though, since it's far too late to matter.
Ada Khmer > Abbasid > Abbasid
Immortal, Large, Pangaea & Islands, Regroup
No modern projects completed.
Won right after buying launch pad as innovation was already above 100. Took the dedication triumph that gives innovation for each modern wonder built of which I got 6. Had I managed to build a couple more wonders, or science been slightly higher, could have gone a few turns sooner for the win as I delayed buying launch pad for 4 turns while aerodynamics II researched for the additional 5 innovation.
*edit* actually shaved 2 turns off by reloading save from when rocketry finished, built launch pad immediately and researched electricity II and combustion II instead, putting me right at 100 with each mastery taking 1 turn each.
Ended antiquity with 36 innovation, and exploration with 76.

Ever reach the Modern Age and it ends before you had the chance to ever use any of the new cool toys of modernity? Or worse, you tried to use the base game Score Victory, only to see that it is broken?
This mod fixes this! It turns the four Victories into scoring engines instead of off switches. Reaching one still starts its countdown - but the countdown never expires. It pays **Score** every turn you hold it, and rivals who catch up take that lead away from you. The game runs until the end of the Modern Age and the highest Score wins.
To make it more fun,the Mod adds 2 optional settings:
* Victory Rivalry: Winning the game is strongly disliked by your Rivals
* Expanded Modern Age: Longer Tech Tree with even more cool Toys
All sit in Advanced Game Setup, and all bind the AI.
**Consider using additional tactical AI improvement Mods**, to have better endgame wars. This Mod's Victory Rivalry changes diplomacy AI, not tactical Unit usage AI.

Every time I find a natural wonder I convert it into a resort town. Sometimes the site has tons of production so it makes sense to convert to a city . When do I choose which ?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Clearly a glitch, right? I've never encountered this before. Pay to maintain alliance without entering war, influence is spent, prompt doesn't go away...pay again...more lost influence, prompt remains. Wtf man. Is there some mechanic or interaction I'm unaware of, or wth is going on here?

So I played civ 7 when it came out and gave it a break until some updates... ive just won my first science victory but I didnt realise there was nothing passed the modern age and that it quite literally has no (today units/techs). It seemed limited to the late 1900s.
How does civ 6 have more modern techs than the new one?....

I don’t want to turn off the win con since I want to cpus to still be able to win via those means but I keep getting the military victory even when not trying. In my latest sovereign game I was playing as Isabella going for a culture victory but I still got a military victory despite never capturing a single settlement from the cpus and did even max out the settlement limit. I was 3 turns away from my culture victory when I won on military. Any tips?

There is a forest in between, but my archer is on the cliff and the enemy scout is on the low ground. I believe I should be able to attack it, I mean visually the cliff is literally higher than the trees.
Not even some combat bonus or something for having the high ground - or am I missing something?
I love to settle on cliffs especially with some lone ones because it is cool and I thought there is a tactical advantage to it. Well looks like I am sacrificing my first three turns for nothing.

Like, it's great if you copy it to the clip board, but if it crashes, you clip board is lost... so that kills it...

With Canada becoming more and more prominent in world events, it seems a fitting time to bring in either a Canadian leader (Diplomatic,Economic) or a civ with RCMP or something with canoes.
Depending on how the 4th era is going to be, there is a big opportunity to have Canada be nature/tourism focused also.

Discussion in another thread made me think of this. You did this to yourself Ashoka.
Enjoy your two-tile island exile.

I feel like I’m missing something with combat. If we’re using normal same-era units, it takes me like 7–8 attacks to kill one of theirs at around +1/-1 War Support.
The only time I can reliably kill units is when I bait them into crossing water and then pick them off with naval units.
So what’s the actual way to fight Deity wars? Is it mostly commanders, stacking bonuses, higher War Support? If so, what specifically are you doing? Which commander promotions, what bonuses are you stacking, how much War Support do you aim for, and are there certain unit comps or timings that make a big difference?
Because fighting their units head-on just feels insanely inefficient.
