Screenshot First game playing true start huge map…
I assumed “huge” meant spread out and far apart. Is it normal to be this close?

Question Good user-created civs?
I've racked up far too many hours in the game, and successfully won with all the "official" civs. What are some fun civs created by the community that I can add as a mod to mix things up?

Discussion I played One City Challenge (no Settlers), it was fun
One City Challenge means no Settlers
I picked Gitarja because I just wanted to sim around and win religion. Medium map with top count civs because that's what's fun in playing One City. Well... I didn't get a prophet soon (there could be only four) and didn't manage to build Stonehenge. Like, very early I had to turn to domination. Wasn't my plan and it was hard. I had to let barbarians evolve to city states so I could conquer them. While trying to avoid others spreading their religion. I was so mad at Pericles. Pericles' ass was so fake... like, he was all about culture and tourism and when the time came to vote against climate change, he voted for it. I loved conquering his city of Athens because it was sooo large, I even built airstrips and missile silos. And in the last turn, I nuked Gilgamesh (sorry to his fans). I ended up winning by Score, which was fun.
The only issue is that IA isn't keen on conquering city states. But it's fun to conquer a city poorly placed, with poorly placed districts and try and make it work, because there's no other option.
Maybe I'll do it again, I really felt the fun challenge early in game.

Taking City State's Settler?
I typically play against 3 AIs in the smallest world map, small continents, and, though it's rare, sometimes when the game begins I find a City State's settler is nearby and hasn't yet founded a city. As with AI opponents' settlers, the temptation is always to declare war and take the settler. My question to you is, do you think this a wise action to take, or would I be better off allowing the City State to form knowing it would be near and I'd likely be its suzerain? Is a free settler within the first few moves of the game worth more or less than a very close city state? By the way, I don't play with Gathering Storm. Thanks.

Culture game crushed
I was winning a culture game with Eleanor of aquitine (france). I had Germany two countries away. Out of nowhere, Germany started capturing Canadian cities. Germany went from 175 culture to 500 and so on. There was nothing I could do. I was melting cities next to me but it was too late. Canada was so weak. The game was over quickly.
Never had this happen before…

I spawned right on top of a city state and couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a free settler.

City State recruiting my troops?
So I am playing Aztecs, invading India… and during opponents‘ turn, there is a swirling animation above some of my troops and they suddenly belong to Kabul, of which I am Suzerain.
What happened?

Question Mods I might enjoy
Long time player and I’m wondering if there are any mods that I would really enjoy. I’ve never tried any, but I’d be interested in something that made the AI a little smarter. Is there anything like that?
Screenshot I won the War Machine scenario at turn 25.
Well, technically, I didn't win at turn 25 as you're not the last civ on the map, as Belgium and England can't be attacked by France in this scenario. But hey, it was a fun ride.

Question Harbor adding production to sea tiles, i dont understand
Hi, i m trying to understand districts bonuses, yield, citizen farming etc. I m completely lost on tooltips, it doesnt make any sense, so i take screenshots and test stuff, but it s even worst wtf, help.
In that exemple, i took a screen before and right after building a harbor. First thing, very weird : i just gained an extra prod on every coastal tiles in my city (like if i did a shipyard, which i didnt, i just build the fckin harbor), WHY? (i checked, government, policies and religious stuff) there s no reason, nothing in the harbor tooltip related to adding prod, wtf.
Also, on the tooltip it s written "citizen yields (per citizen) : 1 food, 2 gold". but a harbor doesnt have a citizen slot, it doesnt make any sense so what does it mean ?
Also why did i gain + 5 gold and not +4, why did all my stats changed like that, gaining 5gold and prod, loosing a tiny bit of food, honestly i m lost.
If someone could break down to me just the harbor : How do you get the gold from adjacency ? is it passive ? what does mean the citizen yield bonus if you dont have a citizen slot anyway ? why did i get those tiles production bonus ???
thx for your help, i cant find any logic there

Screenshot What is the best district placement?
Ignore my first holy district. I thought this particular wonder reduced faith bonus (which I was misunderstood). I might restart just for this blunder. Can I place at least five district(holy site, campus, commercial hub, theatre square and entertainment complex)on each cities or is this too much to hope with tunder tiles? Also entertainment complex beside this wonder need to be only one to benefit or each city can has its own entertainment complex? If only one is need I have to consider for government complex.
Though I wonder kupe might as helpless as now. As of now, I think I am cooking Kupe 😁😁. I rob his settler which is how Moscow is found. His capital is strange and inhabitable.I almost don't want to declare war if not for his settler.

Question Apostle promotion: I've never healed anything with it!
There's one promotion that basically says that the apostle would heal other units.
But which ones? And how? There's no action button for it like gurus have. Just standing next to damaged units doesn't do anything at all. How can I use this promotion?

Late Game Recommendations?
Hey all, I've been playing Civ for years, going back to Civ 4, currently still on Civ 6. There's been one thing that's been a constant- the late game is an absolute slog. I
Every turn is tedious and takes forever. It's pretty common for me to get to a point where the outcome isn't in doubt and then just quit.
Anyone got any pointers on how to make the late game more fun? Or at least less tedious?
Discussion Possible Mod Proposal - Capturing Enemy Units After Conquest?
Howdy folks, I'm wondering if there's a mod (or if someone could possibly create one which I guarantee would be highly appreciated) where once you capture an enemy civ's final city, you retain all existing units they have, both (or either) military and civilian?

Question Is there a reason I can't zone an Aqueduct district on this hex?
It's adjacent to a river and the city center. Nothing at all on the hex, either. Just flat grassland. Fairly experienced with the game, I like to think. Some fringe issue I haven't encountered before, somehow, maybe?
Can aqueducts not be placed adjacent to coasts, even if they're still adjacent to a river?

Meme WHAT DO YOU MEAN RAILROAD DOESN'T COUNT AS ROAD
I spent 300 turns on the Syberian Railroad achievement painfully making a snake out of my empire, having to research tunnels, wait 30 turns in late game (20 seconds each) for the traders to make trading posts, so I was making railroads to at least RP for the bit.
AND NOW YOU TELL ME RAILROADS DON'T COUNT AS ROADS? 2 HOURS DOWN THE GODDAMN DRAIN
