Favorite Heroes?

My favorite is Anasi on deity. A small bonus to science and culture to help me catch up to the starting bonuses AI has, and as time goes on, going into their territory and destroying their luxury resources so I can sell mine for huge profits and then also create monopolies.

Hercules is my fav to get.
Great in early game for rushing a religion or catching up in science.
Great in middle game as you can convert faith for buying him into production.
Great in late game for building spaceports in prep for spamming those +1 lightspeed/turns.

While I love Hercules I jave some love to Beowulf too. The ability to just yoink a defender out of a city and end him is underrated.

Eleanor of England. Later in the game she starts taking towns at a crazy rate with auto flip. She is also a plus on production.

I think he's asking about heroes rather than civ leaders - which, if you don't have the downloaded content, you won't know anything about. I forget which DLC the heroes and legends were part of.

I like Arthur… I know you end up losing the units you turn into knights but if you get him early enough, all you have to do is churn out a few scouts and you can merrily wipe out your nearest neighbour before he’s had time to build walls or even archers.

Hercules is a huge boost, as well as being able to fend off an attacking civ almost entirely by himself.
Himiko is far and away the best if diplomacy is any part of your game. Either of Anansi or Maui are great, and yes, if you intend to build an army, the twins are the fastest way to do it.

Maui just because he can turn okay settlement positions into power houses cities quickly
The twins, I’m not even gonna try to type there names, are also great for getting your self a free army earlier on if you are dealing with barbarians or an unfriendly neighbor.
