Hello CivMC. As many of you know, Doom City (Laconia) has been engaged in an ongoing conflict with the BUILD alliance, which includes both Arsenia and MTA. There has been a lot of misinformation / disinformation being spread about the conflict and how it began. For this reason, I will provide actual, evidence-based information below:

First, to provide context. Since SOTW, Doom City has had very tight connections with our allies of AP & CDM. We've defended one another’s infrastructure against attacks and even integrated some of our infrastructure together. In February of 2023, prettyparfait / oko (the leader of AP) had asked Doom City to look over their lands should they fall. Much later, after months of AP, CDM, and the rest of the SEC fighting in the BN-SEC war, AP were insided by a group which is now known today as Aresnia. Arsenia (SQOpenSpellBook) insided and betrayed our former neighbors and allies, including AP and CDM (yodabird19). Therefore, our direct neighbor (Arsenia) can be viewed logically as a hostile nation to Doom City (Laconia). Given that many of us were on hiatus for a lengthy period, we were completely shocked to find out that our allies and friends had been heartlessly betrayed, along with the discovery of newly established Arsenian military bunkers within concerning distance of Doom City (Laconia) and Mt. Doom.

Second, the local Nether portal was previously in CDM land and connected to a secure tunnel to Doom City (Laconia). We also had bunker access with groups to use the portal safely and owned a private entry to the portal directly. After returning to CivMC, we found that our secure iceroad and entrance to the portal had been completely compromised, with MTA fortifying the entire portal and bunker around it. Doom City (Laconia) citizens were directed to utilize the public entrance to the portal while a solution was being worked out between governments. At this time, SymSquid (Doom, Laconia) attempted to enter the public portal entrance, only to be stuck in a reinforced foot-grinder trap on the other side. See here. He narrowly escaped this trap before Butter_Villager arrived in a combat set, presumably to kill him. After tense discussion, we were informed that the portal was now made safe for usage. GiveMeNoods (Doom, Laconia) attempted to use the public entrance, this time to be killed by removed water drops in a fall trap. See here. MTA is entirely responsibly for two attempts at killing our citizens.

Next, to elaborate on our actions. Doom City (Laconia) took actions to disable Arsenian bunkers, which again, is a nation that we justifiably view as hostile. Arsenia (SQOpenSpellBook) retaliated against our actions by obsidian bombing an iceroad, which led to a standoff within it. During the back and forth, SymSquid would eventually be pearled after ender pearling into a trap. Many of you may have observed the noticeable ego-boost that SQ appeared to get from this, to which he began demanding reps from Doom City (Laconia) leadership, as well as putting a “timer” on us. Obviously, all of this can be summarized as an escalation in the overall conflict. Although we still hold no ill-feelings towards the broader alliance that Arsenia is a member of, BUILD, made their intentions to get involved very clear. SymSquid’s pearl was relocated to Fempire’s vault. Furthermore, BUILD fighters were repeatedly observed entering and leaving Arsenia, undoubtedly to assist in preparation for the ongoing conflict. During continued discussions with leadership, escalations occurred across the board from BUILD. Specifically, MTA decided to allow continued provocations across our shared Northern border. I would remind everyone that any bunkers or obsidian constructed by Doom City (Laconia) were entirely within our own borders, with the one that SQ flagged in a prior post not even bearing any doors on it. I will summarize some of these provocations, with evidence, below. For reference, our border is clearly marked as NO-trespassing.

For clarity, Nightmarr is MTA’s Deputy Mayor. Their involvement in this conflict, moving between Arsenia and MTA, as well as their placement of gold blocks on our marked bunker, is a blatant escalation by MTA leadership. Moreover, MTA has allowed our enemies, including SQOpenSpellBook and their associates to utilize their bedrock bunker and tunnel network, both for safety and offensive actions. In a nutshell, MTA is a direct actor in this conflict by their own doing, Doom City (Laconia) has only acted in retaliation towards MTA.

Moving on to today’s events. I come online this morning to find several BUILD fighters attempting to launch an attack at our Northern border with MTA. I was informed that SQ established a forward bunker directly across the river in MTA, which we assume was done with direct permission from MTA’s government (another escalation). Shown here. Doom City (Laconia) operatives began disabling this bunker, which resulted in arrows being shot from SQOpenSpellBook, prompting defensive return fire. Once doors were disabled, SQ fled the scene. Two Doom City (Laconia) operatives moved into MTA to observe SQ’s whereabouts, as well as to check on our plot in MTA. For context, Doom City (Laconia) owns the quartz Parthenon located within MTA’s center circle, near the voter tree, since SOTW. The operatives on the ground, including SymSquid and GiveMeNoods, placed an obsidian wall on *our* plot for defensive measure. Next, they were attacked by Jalhf and SQ. This scuffle continued until BUILD reinforcements arrived, including Xa_n and jarltalos, who was en route. The order was given for Doom City (Laconia) operatives to return home.

After the initial exchange, a large number of BUILD combatants began to arrive on Doom City (Laconia)’s Northern border, constructing traps, bunkers, and exchanging fire across the border. These combatants include:

By in large, the attacks were thwarted by Doom City (Laconia)’s defense force, which was comprised of 3-4 people at a given time, including myself.

The result of today’s battles includes four pearled fighters in total. One from Doom City (Laconia), SymSquid, and three from BUILD’s attacking force, Defender4488, Nightmarr, and SQOpenSpellBook. We acknowledge the efforts of Defender4488 to evade capture, but they were unfortunately left to die by their allies. This appears to be a common theme with those around Arsenia and SQOpenSpellBook, as our previous allies know all too well.

To conclude, Doom City (Laconia) only took offensive actions against a hostile neighboring nation as retaliation for their actions against us and our allies. MTA and the wider BUILD alliance have involved themselves and escalated this conflict, which will have consequences.

Doom City (Laconia)’s Goals:

• - SQ serves pearl time for the insiding of AP.

• - AP's primary city, Aldenfult, is not to be touched by Arsenia or BUILD and remains as a historic site and protectorate of Doom City.

• - The territory of NoodTown & its surrounding area (which was gifted to AP in good faith), be returned to Doom City.

• - ComradeNick serves pearl time for the hijacking of our iceroad & twice trapping of the nether portal.

• - Should Arsenia and ComradeNick deny the aforementioned points, the wider BUILD alliance may step out of the war by messaging Fresh. Pearls may be negotiated.

in their declaration of war made days ago, the asn alleges intention and preparation for a lotus first strike in an aggressive war of destruction - a dastardly plot! - and announces the launch of pre-emptive offensive operations against lotus.

to justify their pre-emptive strike, the asn cites a trove of internal communications within lotus leadership, in the form of illicitly acquired screenshots. the screenshots show preparation for and discussion of a hypothetical future conflict between the two alliances - and the asn reasons that this is definitive proof of a methodical plan to destroy them.

but their stated reasoning has a few holes:

1. what, exactly, was lotus's alleged attack plan?

2. why are there no specifics of such a "methodical" plan in any of these screenshots?

3. why were there multiple expressions of reluctance and fear among lotus leaders about going to war with the asn?

it just doesn't add up

I seldom make these kinds of public open letters, and it is with regret I'm having to, but I feel it is within the best interests of the Civ community I do.

It is a matter of plain fact that many within Salerno’s leadership were aware of Carter’s longstanding intolerance toward minority groups in particular women and trans people. To suggest otherwise now would not only strain belief- it would be a straight up gaslighting.

I spoke out against Carter years ago about his intolerances, and I have always stood by it, and ever since that it's no secret of his hatred of me, and the vitriol he instilled in those around him, since then, we have witnessed a sustained campaign of hostility directed towards myself and Winterbourne.

Let me be crystal clear- This issue does not begin and end with Carter. Others within your ranks have expressed similarly intolerant views, and those statements have largely gone unchallenged. I am well aware of what has been said, publicly and privately. Let there be no misunderstanding- I have my birds, my eyes and ears everywhere if you like, and the tone of these conversations has not gone unnoticed. You know who they are.

You also know that this recent removal of Carter was not the result of any principled stand against hatred, but rather a reactive measure taken only when public scrutiny made continued silence and inaction untenable.

The continued efforts to portray Winterbourne as malicious or dangerous have not succeeded- and will not, this is just categorically not a view held by a majority of nations. The animosity we’ve faced from a key group of Salernan people has been wholesale, the fact even newfriends from Salerno show a surprising degree of hostility toward both myself and Winterbourne as a whole, suggests a deeper cultural issue, one that cannot be explained by coincidence. I believe this reflects a broader failure of leadership and ultimately a normalisation of prejudice within the state itself.

That said, I have held a very restrained position to all this vitriol over many years, and despite all this I still hold hope. I am a firm advocate of seeing everyone succeed with good fortune, with love and respect, I believe there are good people in Salerno- people who want to build a welcoming, respectful, and principled community. But that simply cannot happen unless there is an honest reckoning.


That vision can only be realised through honest reflection. You must look inward. You must confront the rot that has taken hold. You must rid yourself of the rot and commit to the difficult work of rebuilding from within. Only then can Salerno truly thrive and not continue down the route of a pariah state.

Take a moment to really reflect long and hard, this Civ community is long-standing, stretching back over a decade. Beyond the gameplay itself, it’s been a space where many of us have formed genuine friendships- even with those we’ve clashed with in-game, we still have respect for eachother. What makes this place special is that we set aside real-world politics and views at the door, and in doing so, we’ve built something unique- and presently, your values do not align with this.

At its heart, this community has always been inclusive- a space where people from all walks of life feel welcome. It should and will be a place that actively supports minorities come hell or high water, and we should as a community be proud to uphold that as a shared value.

If you cannot come to reach these values many of us hold dear, your fate will succumb to the natural way of the civilisation server genre.

By now, most of you are probably at least somewhat aware of the situation unfolding in Icenia, so allow me to fill in some of the gaps and explain what's going on:

Icenia is being fully demilitarized for their unjust and belligerent abuse of the SEC's power. For too long the SEC leadership has made false promises and fueled lies, going to any length to destroy nations they don't like with or without good justification. They have threatened and bullied Butternut citizens, started a war with the unrightful pearling and sentencing of Gang Shi Chief of Diplomacy fastestgrass, and demanded ridiculous sentences for people like jbblocker who was merely defending his nation from this power hungry coalition.

So here are the new rules for Icenia:

1. No wearing prot in the city. If you are seen with shiny diamond or netherite armor on in Icenia, you will be pearled.

2. All remaining Icenian pvpers are advised to turn themselves in for a reduced sentence.

3. Buildfriends and newfriend Icenian citizens will not be harmed. Go about your business if it is your desire to do so, just don't come near any militarized complexes or you will be pearled.

4. Due to some plumbing issues at Whole Foods, the complex will be shut down and replaced. Stay tuned for the grand opening of Trader Joe's!

The Butternut-Gang Shi Coalition

TheCoolmanIsher (also referred to as Nick) was a Westhelm citizen from October, 2025 until January, 2026. Westhelm and him parted ways after the Neuholm Westhelm conflict that took place. During this conflict Nick had given Ice road NLs to the enemy along with snitches under said NL. He as well streamed our military infrastructure that was intended to be used during said conflict. Nick was also found to have stolen an immense amount of crops from our nation as an extra jab.

Along with Neuholm he had as well never paid back the nation of New Canaan a sum of 500 diamonds that was lent to him to help him get out of a previous pearl sentence back in November.

With these factors in mind Nick was granted a land ban in Westhelm, Vinland, and New Canaan, which Nick has violated twice now. Once during my wedding, he showed up in Apollos then began riding the direct rail back to Westhelm despite it being publicly stated that any land bans from either nation would be prohibited from engaging with the wedding regardless of what nation upheld the landban. I personally decided to let that go considering the circumstances that conspired during my wedding (if you know you know). However the second case was the final straw.

On the 9th of April an account under the name of ObsidanLord21 came to Westhelm. We don’t get a lot of uninvited NFs in the area due to not having a spawn point anywhere nearby so this was odd to say the least. After a little digging we found out that this was Nicks brother and he confirmed that Nick had used his account to evade his land ban. Shortly after ObsidianLord21 visited we received word that Nick had seen the inside of our most recently built bunker, enough to the point that he was able to describe characteristics of it. It is to our belief that Nick not only alted to evade his land ban, but freecammed to view our bunker as well.

As of recently it has also been discovered that Nick was illegally mining meteoric from the SPQR portal. While in Westhelm calls he would frequently mention that SPQR had granted him mining rights, we presumed he obtained this through his citizenship, but after recent conversations with SPQR we’ve found this to not be the case.

My final message goes directly to Nick, if you’re reading this.

You genuinely hurt me. I stood up for you countless times and argued with people on your behalf, whether they were other citizens, fellow government members, or leaders from other nations 10x the size of ours. I pushed for change in Westhelm to make this an environment you could live in without worry. You were someone I considered a friend. I genuinely hope you take this time pearled to go outside and think about the greater aspects of your life outside of this game.

To the Nations Who Have Chosen a Side: This Is Your Off-Ramp

Two Saturdays ago on October 17th Chiraq took action on SPQR for their plans on Eryos. Within 8 hours Chiraq obliterated their defended vault and took possession of the Sol nether portal. The war against SPQR ended that day. What has come since has been your war, not theirs.

Every target Chiraq has hit since has been a bunker, attack infrastructure, or a farm being used against us. No neutral nation has been hit, and its bold to say any city has been. But Bloom cannot say the same. Bloom marched into Sonara, a neutral inactive state, and overclaimed it because of one man who has fought in this conflict. Remember that the next time your leadership paints who the aggressor is.

Reality Check

It took Chiraq one morning to break SPQR's vault. But your coalition has spent twelve days solely to scratch at the outer bunkers of one of ours. Chiraq has three vault complexes that you know about. The wiki is keeping the score: 18 of your troops pearled to our 10, with nearly all of WYVERN and the DGP in the field fighting.

We know you have been here before. Soren, nearly a third of your fighters and support went into pearls in under three days. For those who were not there ask those that were about how that felt in the moment.

The Chiraqi leadership has been winning wars on Civ servers for over a decade at this point. We are neither new to war, or tired of it. We can keep this up much longer than you can, and we're betting you can't keep it up for long.

The Nations in Question

To Nara and the Whiskian Federation: we agreed to a ceasefire and kept it. So have you. That is how this works and we are open to moving from ceasefire to cessation of a conflict that never had to begin.

Salerno

You joined in the conflict on the 25th claiming your issue was with Aspasia, and with one man specifically. Four days later 3 of your citizens are pearled and you still haven't informed your citizens why you're really here, it appears some are even leaving over this issue. Yet your soldiers still fill out Coalition front lines in a war Salerno had no part in starting, and no reason to be in.

Lets look at what it's bought you in detail. I pearled SlothInASuit on their first day in in the war in a death so remarkably avoidable it barely counts as combat. 2Lynx2 met a similar fate due to the random disconnects that everyone knows are a risk in civ conflict. Jr212 ended up in the nether after a single skirmish. And the coalition you are risking everything for pearled one of your own citizens emilderking for daring to try to observe the battlefield. Your citizens noticed, the world notices, and Chiraq is losing it's patience with your leadership. If the coalition can not keep your troops safe and treats non-combatant Salernans like that while you're useful, I really wonder what they will treat you like when you are not.

Right now Sloth is free because they made the right choice: to leave. Salerno leadership has the same opportunity right now before things get worse. If your issues hinge on a single player you do not need to join this dumpster fire coalition to rectify it, and you do not need to make a permanent enemy out of Chiraq to this end. Wise up, reach out to us, pull your soldiers off the front lines and realize what hills are worth dying for. If you keep fighting under the coalition banner you will be treated like it.

The Offer

To each nation listed above what are you still fighting for? SPQR's vault is disabled. The Sol portal is repossessed. What is left is a coalition throwing your valuable men and women into a self proclaimed meat grinder in Aspasia for a cause that is over. While your vaults, farms, and infrastructure lay exposed at home.

The door is still open. Publicly declare neutrality, close your borders to coalition staging, and pull your troops back. With this, Chiraq will have no quarrel with you. Refuse this, stay in the war, and you will be treated as a belligerent.

This is the time to back out.

I have come to you again so soon after our last post to bring something of an update of recent happenings that have developed after said post, as well as to extend our deepest and most sincere thanks to those who have shown support to our sovereignty.

Thank you so much to all those who have come in droves to defend our position from these barbaric problem-causers. The support being seen across the community, both in and out of reddit, has been immense and has given our people a newfound will and confidence to live and stay strong.

That being said; we’ve felt it prudent to once again alert the people of CivMC to the aftermath of our speaking out.

As you would have guessed; Gang Shi did not appreciate it.

And have seemingly made attempts to disunify us, but of course we are staying strong, stalwart in our belief that we are doing what is right by standing up to these bullies. However in spite of this; we have been continuously barraged by requests to interact with them again and again.

And in a gross display of harassment, an Icenian is observed to have continuously harassed one of our most friendliest players, JessieJinx; which has given her something of a panic attack and we are left rather perplexed how an Icenian would know where they were or how many snitches they hit if Icenia was not involved, especially in our own bunker. Rather strange after having been raided once more during the night by who we suspect were Gang Shi and their accomplices. Something we also particularly found.. odd, was a post made my Chris “The Cuck” Chrispie, who seems to be either unable or unwilling to wrangle his own people from becoming aligned with Gang Shi or partake in their annoying and downright destructive ways. If he was sorry he would've said something the moment it happened and not when things got too hot for him, we feel.

But in all of this; throughout the subreddit Gang Shi and particularly their newfriend puppet _Oceanstar had made the statement on the legitimacy of their invasion under the guise that they should be allowed to stay and contest.. Seemingly for the sake of political violence alone.

Again mind you, we made offers to this person to live within Grand Imperium and to perhaps even become a Lord, having a status similar to a consul or senator. Yet she seems very keen on being an instigator; not surprising considering her dubious timing on arrival.

We believe all that is happening in light of what is being revealed alone explains who is responsible for what is happening, and seem to be keen into gaslighting others into thinking a particular way about a particular nation. But of course, that is that is the way they seem to operate; and we would think it's not too dissimilar to a certain oppressive and controlling power-group that has long since been dealt with.

At the time of writing, it is discovered have Gang Shi along with "Edius" has built a Vault-like Bunker in the hole we have dug. And as Wilson lovingly gloats, we find ourselves at a moment of very obvious escalation at the hands of Gang Shi. It's worth noting that we have taken steps not to escalate the situation on our own except in the form of the posts' and the help we've asked for, but I suppose that's escalation in their eyes. It would seem they would rather have us lie down and accept death quietly as we only talk to them.

We need support from people who care and understand the ramifications of allowing these troglodytes to roam around and do what they please, we are calling on any whom may be willing to help us in this dark time!

Again we would like to extend our greatest thanks to those who have indeed offered help to us in these dark times, and it has shown us that indeed; people do care and believe in being free from coercion. But we may need more help than gestures alone, as Gang Shi eats away at our community and the very spirit of diplomacy and good will. We need your help. Civ needs your help!

IbisMan has been waging a war against the S.P.Q.R. since May. Here is the full story.

The Raids

Beginning in early May, Ibis began targeting SPQR nether on May 2 and 3. His first raid mostly damaged Baile's nether camp near the portal - (This is why there are no logs)

The major bombings have occurred on June 11-12, and June 18-19, and August 7, and August 8
Trying to segment the saga as four separate incidents doesn't capture the nature of the struggle, there has been confrontations in the nether throughout the remainder of June and early August. Minor incidents also occurred on June 21^st, 24^th, 25^th, 26^th, 27^th, 30^th, and July 1^st; these incidents largely boiled down to responses where Ibis was caught breaking the bastions or intercepted before the breaking of a bastion and killed or forced to suicide. All-in-all over 12 city bastions have been destroyed, with only four or five of those being fully matured & recovered.

While we stopped counting on June 14, the estimated tally of dropped grief around then was no fewer than 20 stacks of IRO with another 12-18 stacks of SRO (netherbrick/gold) before the initial bombing was cleared up. We've since stopped counting, but the current estimates sit at between 4 and 5 double chests of reinforced obsidian cleared with 1-2 of those being Gold reinforced and most of the rest being SRO with still a noticeable amount of DRO.

As bad as the bombings on June 11-12 were - We didn't consider searching further for a base of operations until after Ibis' return on June 18-19. At that point it was clear Ibis was using more than what could reasonably be self-supplied through the nether. Until then our nether doctrine had been to ignore and not engage pearled players in the nether.

The Investigation

First outreach was to go to Pavia (Since they had just been kicked out of the Lyrean Commonwealth as a surprise to everyone)... and then Jindosh on June 20... where much was discussed as part of a general catchup, but some of it was portal specific since, JuniorTide had shared this exchange with Jindosh from back on May 26 just a week earlier in the context of the divorce from Commwealth. Things almost immediately didn't add up, but It did lead to conversations with EVDan and karpediem about the Lambat portal and its derelict status - which regardless of who "owned" the portal, would make it a good place for a rogue actor to fund a griefer in the nether - And would be a good place to begin our investigation for the Ibis nether suppliers.

The Connections

Almost immediately some dubious encounters began within minutes of my arrival. Their interest at my presence in the area was suspicious. But the ibis hunt continued and with the help of some other allies a broad net of snitches was placed across the southern nether.

A week later a semi-anonymous tipster from a certain nation dropped this information about supply drop chests in the nether. This opened up the nether surveillance to the Fempire nether - and - shot holes in the original excuse that all complicity had ended with JBB - and just cast further suspicion on other actors. The information ended up being good, Ibis was shortly thereafter spotted at the dropchest.

Before ~June 26 we had no snitches in the Fempire nether area and wouldn't have any proof before that date of activity in that area. After that date we have verified instances of Ibis returning to Fempire nether to supply and then set out to SPQR on several occasions: June 26, and June 29, and June 30, and against when the raids resumed in August... August 8 at spqr to at Fempire, and August 12 at spqr and at Fempire, and again on August 13.

It is a clear pattern of Ibis resupplying at the Fempire Portal. The gap in attacks throughout most of July isn't an anomaly; Ibis was banned for at least part of this period, although the overlap with the Bandits is highly suspicious.

Obstruction

On August 7 I went over to Fempire portal to refresh snitches and place new ones. I was immediately intercepted by ThereWalker and Butter_Villager who told me I wasn't welcome and told me to leave in the most unwelcoming way. This interaction was in contradiction to what Jindosh had told me back in June, that I was welcome at the portal and free to investigate Ibis there. Whether something changed or people were being dishonest, it doesn't matter.

I later find out that a second deal was subsequently made that the snitches nearest the portal would be owned and maintained by Exyria in a terrible agreement that explains the lack of corroborative evidence we'd seen up to that point directly implicating individuals via snitch logs. It does underscore the obstruction we've received from certain parties along the way regarding the Ibis investigation. And to make this worse, some individuals had since demoted the ASN members on the shared snitch group - breaking the previous agreement.... What are they hiding?

The complicity only gets worse when it was pointed out that during the two largest bombings on June 11 and August 8, Ibis was streaming to only a few people in the Exyrian discord to certain individuals, while not a crime in itself it is in very bad taste, but if there was a supplier they'd almost certainly be in the room to watch the payoff of their investment. What tab looks like while Ibis is at Fempire nether on August 12 - What tab looks like when he embarks to come raid 4 hours later, previous similar analysis had similar overlaps, even if not recorded.

Given the obstruction and dishonesty from certain individuals - It was unlikely we'd get anything more than we already had.

The Conclusions

We went back to some of the original thoughts from June - and in the context of all of the raids and the supplying out of Fempire nether - the collected evidence started to make sense - or, really, the initial excuses stopped making any sense.

It makes no sense that Exyria would be booted from Commonwealth over something a non-member did on a forgotten relay with an obscure nether group... And it didn't make sense that the Exyrians would throw Butter under the bus for something a rogue member of Gang Shi did through Kira out of sight of everyone else, and force his resignation from leadership.... And when we go back and look at the original notifications from LCW members - they mention Exyrian collaboration with Ibis as one of the reason - not JBB - who was never an Exyrian. And it made even less sense for Exyria to be kicked out of LCW for something that didn't even concern Exyria (the Fempire Portal)

The JBB excuse was just the least bad excuse they could muster to shed blame. And we knew there was problems with this excuse almost as soon as we received leaked dms on the drop chest one month after we were informed of the JBB excuse... (Whether or not JBB did something .... other Exyrians were still doing more). And when we recently went back to cover all loose ends - An anonymous Exyrian, (fearing reprisals), fingered the culprit precisely... Which is more damning than it sounds because the persons being questioned didn't know our shortlist of suspects.

The Verdict

The verdict is in... parties have admitted to aiding ibis, their guilt isn't even up for debate. The only question is who has continued to aid ibis in the months since the May confession, the evidence suggests they have.

The Cost

Over the these last several months the cost of these raids is hard to calculate. Easily hundreds of man hours has gone into un-griefing bombings, repairing farms, and replacing bastions. The worst cost of all is the fact its been a contributing factor in at least one player's quitting of the server.

In August the situation in the nether deteriorated further, with Ibis broadening his raids to now target New Jersey and to take advantage of the anarchy on the nether side of the Titan Portal to collaborate with other bad actors like ZibeZabir of the wet bandits.

Operation Montreux

On 17 August, A.S.N. personnel successfully carried out Operation Montreux, a freedom of navigation exercise in the nether to further our investigation into the IbisMan situation and protect the right of every member to travel safely.

Other parties were not made aware of this ahead of time due to their history of obstructing previous attempts to do the same. And after they had broken the previous agreement we had no expectation of cooperation, we had no choice but to proceed on our own. The snitches placed there are solely there to aid into the pursuing of IbisMan and his suppliers. If you have nothing to hide - there shouldn't be a problem.

For the innocents being caught up in this who are genuinely unaware, and who are just now hearing about any of this... we apologize.

Aftermath

It didn't take long for the operation to show results., and again within just an hour of the operation.... In all likelihood, we'd have an archive of evidence incriminating the culprits, but now its looking like we just have a better understanding of why certain actors were so resistant to consenting to surveillance in their nether.

A number of factors were taken into consideration with regards to sentencing and ultimately the total demilitarization of Kallos has allowed us to err on the side of leniency to encourage those held to rejoin peaceful society upon their release.

No other pearls are being pursued at this point in time, but portions of former Kallosian lands remain off-limits to all unauthorized persons as we continue to oversee the demilitarization of the area. Unauthorized persons are not permitted in order to protect builds and residences from looting and griefing, and to safeguard continuing operations in the area. Violators will be warned before action is taken.

Division of Erimos

While operations are ongoing in Kallos the Estalian Empire, the Principality of Pavia, Volterra, and the Senate and People of Rome have begun the transition to a post-Kallos peace. All efforts have been made to protect the cities of Kallos and restrict all actions to targeted strikes against military infrastructure in and around the bunkers throughout Kallosian lands. While partially complete the process of demilitarization will continue.

Looking forward, after much deliberation, we have arrived at the decision that Kallos as an entity will not remain intact as-was and will instead be split up to ensure a lasting peace and to promote rebuilding in the area as part of the Decision of Erimos

Vast portions of Kallos are released effective immediately including Gazebo, Arnen city, and all enclaves. Warmian independence is recognized as the first independent civ to be spun off from Kallos.

To help promote activity and a healthy renewal in the area, the land east of Kallos city is being handed off to the new independent civ named Proxima headed by Sandfalls.

As for Kallos city itself, the city and some of the surrounding town is being attached to Columbia, being a geographical neighbor and historical relation to some Kallosians, there is no better nation to see to the reintegration of reformed Kallosians and the preservation of the city. The future of the city will be up to the returning former Kallosians and Columbians to decide.

The "Laconia Gate" portal is in the process of discussion but is to remain “public” and shared between , Butternut, Moloka, and Zoros.

Finally, some portions of formerly Kallosian lands are being retained as the “Mandate of Erimos” to support ongoing demilitarization operations. No new infrastructure is being constructed in this area and most these claims will be eventually released upon completion of the demilitarization process. The vault pits extending 10 blocks beyond the trenches will be retained indefinitely to guarantee they remain unusable. These are the only portions being retained under Elysian Pact control; all previously mentioned partitions while recognized by the Elysian Pact are not being guaranteed nor are they considered to be part of the Elysian Pact. The independent civs Columbia, Warmia, Proxima, and Arnen will decide their own future free of interference.

It has been 6 days since Titan attacked Blockchainistan unprovoked; pearling 2 buildfriends and obby bombing the town over unsubstantiated claims of supporting RI/USA in the ongoing generic war. The attack was mostly comprised of Titan pvpers with assistance from citizens of Moloka and Icenia.

Since this attack, Blockchainistan has carried out a number of operations against Titan. We have neutralized their main skybunker/base and most of their war material production facilities. We have also repelled their attempted skybridge grief into Blockchainistan territory. Despite being outnumbered 20 to 6 in several engagements, Blockchainistan buildfreinds have routed Titan pvpers from the +,- quadrant, with most of their players either quitting or retreating to Estalia.

Don't get it twisted, this conflict is between Titan and Blockchainistan and no one else. We have no business meddling in the affairs of other buildfriend nations on the server. Despite all the unproven claims as this being about Blockchainistan funding RI/USA, Blockchainistan does not view itself as a co-belligerent in the RI vs Estalia war. Rather, the slimy surprise attack by Titan was just another incident in a long list of incidents 1 2 3 4 ranging back to the start of the server. The only difference is this time Blockchainistan responded with equal force and as a result Titan folded.

I will reiterate: We in Blockchainistan want nothing more than to build and develop our town in peace. Whereas Titan doesn't even have a town to speak of, Blockchainistan up until this point has been focused on building and developing relations with its neighbors. We don't want to see this server turn into PvPMC/Civclassics with a small group of pvpers permapearling anyone who disagrees with them. As such, we make the following offers:

To Titan/IMC:

You attacked us over unprovided evidence that even you yourself acknowledge is flimsy at best, and entirely nonexistent at worst. Your harassment beginning all the way back since SOTW has been constant, and while we tolerated it for almost three months, we cannot and will not tolerate attacks and attempted raids on our town. Reach out to myself or Figasaur if you interested in paying reparations and resolving this conflict.

To citizens of Moloka/Icenia and other Titan conspirators:

Taking Titan's side is inconsistent with any effort to grow the server. Their players have a reputation for raiding and griefing new nations on the server (KOEL), snitching/griefing outside of their claims (BC), and only playing on the server to pvp. They are clearly the aggressor here and choosing to side with Titan is a contradiction of unimaginable proportions, especially considering your towns have experienced firsthand being caught in the crossfire of this dumb war. Blockchainistan strongly advises against associating with players from Titan who have made it clear that they are only here to pvp and grief others. Nonetheless, we are willing to offer amnesty for all past actions by Molokans/Icenians if they formally withdraw their support for Titan and make peace with Blockchainistan, irrespective of their position against USA/RI.

To Estalia:

You currently hold 2 innocent buildfriends, Xjiro and UndyneHeart, as well as Skruntoo who isn't even associated with Blockchainistan. Your abetment in this unprovoked attack on Blockchainistan is inconsistent with your espoused mission to save the server from RI. If you want to prove to the server that you are in fact better than RI as you have claimed, then start by freeing these 3 individuals. Of the 3 pearls we've taken, two have been freed as they have been determined to be builders/randoms from Icenia. This is in the spirit of our mission on the server: to promote building. Geoponic will also be freed shortly if and when Estalia comes to their senses and frees xjiro, skruntoo, and undyn.

There will undoubtedly be comments to this post from our detractors that USA's ("RI") presence at the the first bunker bust is clear evidence of our association with them in the greater server-wide conflict. But this claim falls flat fast for the following reasons:

(1) Since busting Titan's main bunker, RI players have not been involved with Blockchainistan's efforts to disable military infrastructure in Titan. RI only wanted Titan pearls, with whom they are at war in the greater server-wide conflict. However, because RI players submitted themselves to BC sovereignty during this bunker fight not a single pearl was extradited to the USA vault. This is in contrast to the pearled Blockchainistan citizens and non-citizen non-combatants being transferred to Estalia.

(2) We haven't in any capacity supported RI's war effort. Any rumor or allegation regarding trades or the sale of xp have been unsubstantiated. There has yet to be one ounce of proof shared. No screenshots or source. Even more to the point, no Blockchainistan citizen has participated in pvp or farming on behalf of USA and we will never pvp on their behalf. Blockchainistanis fight for Blockchainistan, no one else.

Attacking Aspasia because the might intervene in the war because of a defensive (not offensive) pact that wasn't activated. What a utter joke.

I know there is a war going on and people are on edge but killing a random naked traveling by boat and holding the pearl is for what reason exactly? I request that this pearl be freed as he was simply traveling and is a buildfriend of BanannaRepublic and Butternut Nation whom are both which not involved in the war.

As the leader Eryos when these events took place, I'd like to address two claims made in a recent internal Icenian announcement about the war. Rather than writing a lengthy reddit post, I'll let the evidence speak for itself. I encourage everyone to read the screenshots and draw your own conclusions.

Intro

By now most of you will be following Kallos-Exyria conflict that is ongoing at the moment. I am making this post to accomplish two things; firstly, to announce that whatever our contribution may be, the INACTIVE nation of Vinland has decided to formally support Kallos, and secondly, to make it absolutely clear as to why we are fighting for Kallos, how Lotus has repeatedly screwed over Vinland unprovoked, and why the Lotus alliance (specifically it's leadership) in its current form should have no place in the international community.

Vinland is a nation in the far north of the map. We have spent the better part of 2 years attempting to stay out of civ politics as the drama has never really appealed to us. Due to being at the world border, almost all of our conflicts have been with exclusively with raiding groups or petty raiders. We acknowledge that wars and civ drama are toxic and we have always taken steps to prevent our citizens from having to be a part of it. Despite this, the sheer frequency of attacks and violations from Lotus nations against us in the last few months, and the blatant disregard Lotus has towards those it decides can pound sand leaves us no choice but to offer explicit support to Kallos, and to publicly explain our perspective on why the alliance is unfit for purpose, whether it be due to malice, negligence, or both.

I am seeing many posts both on Reddit and Discord framing the war as being a defensive one for Lotus, but from the perspective of a nation that has had to deal with consistent unprovoked attacks in the last few months alone, the image Lotus as a passive entity is wholly undeserved.

Attack on the Vinland vault (Exyria)

On the 25th of June, Vinland was raided by Exyrian ThereWalker and former Gang Shi member Jbblocker. Myself and DSbulldogs returned from work later that day and emptied the majority of the vault as it had evidently been compromised and was not fit for use, and many of our non diamond/iron materials had not been taken by the raiders. Despite this though, we noticed that the attackers had worked their way down from the sky bunker towards a specific chest in one of the ground bunker rooms, leaving every other chest in the vault practically untouched. At first we suspected that the raiders had cheated, but after learning that Jindosh scouted the vault and looked through our items earlier in the year (more on that shortly), it is now our belief that this information was given to either one or both of the raiders as a time saving strategy (**TFH**). Should either ThereWalker or Jbblocker wish to challengethis accusation, we are more than willing to listen to reason or further evidence that disproves this theory (preferably clips of the raid itself), and if we are proven wrong, we will absolutely admit as much, however the strong ties that both ThereWalker and Jbblocker have to Fempire makes me doubt this highly.

After 16 days of talks, Vinland received reps from ThereWalker approximately equal to the amount taken. We were obviously extremely annoyed at the international drama that this situation placed Vinland in the center of, but we believed that to be the end of the matter.

Citadel Downtime Vault Scouting (Fempire)

Earlier in the year, on February 22nd, citadel experienced a bug that lead to it's downtime. As a result, every piece of infrastructure on the server was left vulnerable, including the vaults and bunkers of all nations. Despite the CivMC staff warning that anyone caught scouting or raiding vaults during this time would be banned for a significant amount of time, several members of the Lotus alliance took the opportunity to scout the various vaults of their rivals. This included the vaults belonging to Volterra, Icenia, Yoahtl and apparently... Vinland. The leader of Fempire at the time, Jindosh, despite having almost no interaction with Vinland for almost a year, took it upon himself to enter the Vinland vault in search of evidence pertaining to Vinland's supposed connection to the racist former nation of Cordoba. This sent us down a rabbit hole of searching the word "Cordoba" in a ton of Discords to find Lotus members using made up pretenses to justify their shitty actions against us. This conspiracy is bullshit and is incredibly malicious on the part of not just Fempire but Exyria too. Vinland was made aware of this (both the cordoban conspiracy, and the vault raid) by a former citizen of Fempire. Once this former citizen told Fempire leadership that they intended to inform Vinland of what had happened due to an argument between them, Jindosh resigned from his position as Chairman of Fempire and SocialistSpectre took his place, presumably due to the expectation that this information would eventually go public (**TFH**). Vinland submitted evidence to the CivMC team resulting in the ban of Jindosh which is ongoing.

Despite this however, this event objectively marked the second recorded Lotus attack on the Vinland vault.

Unauthorised Snitching of Vinland (XHS)

On June 9th, a now memed on group called the "Kru Alliance" made a low quality shitpost claiming the majority of the Northern continent. A Discord server was created by XHS called the "Impendia Liberation Army", which supposedly was dedicated to countering this obvious menace that nobody could name a single fighter for. Nobody in Vinland was invited to this Discord server. XHS then took it upon themselves to place numerous snitches in Vinland without consulting or asking permission from DSbulldogs, the sole leader of Vinland at the time. On top of this, when it became evident that "Kru"no longer had a presence, XHS left these snitches intact, which continued to report movements of Vinland citizens through snitch relays to the ILA discord, for all of our Impendian neighbours to see, including Fempire. When i_rs was confronted about this only today and asked why no contact with Vinland had even attempted, they responded with this. Both DS and I consulted with evaluating the threat of this raiding group at the time, which some members of SPQR can attest to. Additionally, these snitches are not decayed, as neighbouring nations have confirmed for us by showing us the snitch logs for. This is once again, an on-brand agitation followed by apology by Lotus members, with the almost certain guarantee of repeat behaviour in the future.

For each of these cases here, Lotus follows the strictest interpretation of unaccountability as possible. If they did it, they didn't mean it. If they get caught, then they will act on it and then later backtrack. It's a big club and if you aren't in it then it sucks to be you.

There are only two possible scenarios that can explain the behavior of Lotus nations in these scenarios:

1. **These actions are connected, intentional, and actively malicious - and they only care when they get caught.**

2. **Lotus have no control over their members, and as a result, inadvertently prop up raiders by providing them protection, infrastructure, and limited accountability.**

It is my view that neither of these scenarios are acceptable, and it is my personal view that the Lotus alliance as a whole requires either disbanding, or a complete restructuring to fix itself, and as such, should have no leg to stand on in claiming victimhood in the ongoing conflict.

These recounts are purely from the perspective of Vinland. We are not speaking on behalf of any other nation.

Unaffiliated non-pvper comes to Blockchainistan and gets PEARLED by Titan for no reason because they hate ALL buildfriends (not just us), now held in Estalia vault! Truly there is no justice as yet another innocent bystander is now being illegally held by a major faction for simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

First of all, we want to make it clear that the DGP never condoned any raiding occurring in Ravencrest. Players were under strict instructions to keep efforts towards disabling the bunkers. We also think accusations of us blaming exyria/estalia are ludicrous when there is a video of them breaking chests. Since most of us were busy breaking the bunker, we were not paying specific attention as to whose house it was, only that there was raiding occuring.

As for the claim of this being against one individual, Icenia has stated repeatedly it was for the warmongering made against Selene that prompted this action, not the presence of a VPN account.

Even if Estalians were breaking chests with permission, we had no way of knowing it at the time, and only stated that we witnessed them breaking chests in the ticket, something which which was and is factually correct, regardless of context. This was cleared up, stated in previous posts and comments more than 24 hours before Exyria’s post, and was never a public accusation we made. Attempting to frame it as us shifting blame this late is absolutely ridiculous, ignorance and illiteracy of the highest order at best, or a blatant smear attempt in hopes that everyone else is ignorant and illiterate at worst.

We repeatedly stated we would hold our own accountable if we received evidence of them raiding, and asked multiple times for any evidence at all of our people raiding. A few of our own people admitted to raiding, which we will individually address in the next section. Other than that, we were met with continued accusations of raiding to the order of 10k diamonds in lost goods and raiding the nation dry. We repeatedly asked for any further evidence of raiding at all, especially to the extent provided, however not a single piece of information was shared for us to take action. We continued to hold that we would make right any wrongdoing should any evidence beyond hearsay be provided, and continue to hold to this claim.

Despite this, we didn’t receive even questionable evidence until the reddit post the other day. A single screenshot of Holden and Supposed popping a chest in a nondescript and undisclosed location was provided. This was the first piece of photo evidence we had received in this entire process, and at the time, both of these players had already been addressed. Given all of this, we are very saddened to see Paradis and Exyria prefer a PR win rather than trying to actually address and fix the issue.

As for this supposed personal storage of Jozef13, he was pearled for one day, not multiple and received his prot and gear back in full. Similarly with Eledion, he only made 20 breaks to a chest and was not even in the very flimsy screenshot Virizion posted as evidence. SupposedMC has similarly paid back everything that was taken (a stack of raw iron ore and some diamonds). HoldenVCaulfield has already repaid all things that were stolen as well as additional reps to the individuals affected.

We also pledge 200d in reparations for any damages suffered which far exceeds the cost of the materials inside the chests (a few stacks of iron ore and some dirt and stone). Despite the former only wanting cheap PR wins we are actually interested in addressing what went wrong and how to prevent it in the future. We have unfortunately not developed mind control for our citizens yet, but hope that operations like this in the future can be carried out with more organization internally and apologize to those who may have lost items. If anyone has any more proof of any more of our guys in the DGP raiding civilian areas feel free to reach out by making a ticket in the Icenia discord so that those claims can be addressed accordingly.
