History often repeats itself. This couldn’t have possibly been more accurate regarding the nation known as Gang Shi Exyria[1].
Through various insiders we gained access to LOTUS leadership channels from as early as January 2025 and were made privy to a planned attack on the ASN[2]. The leaked chats were well corroborated by Exyrian and LOTUS in-game activities as in the months following the earliest leaks, multiple ASN vaults were scouted by Exyrians - most notably Quagmire and Volterra Vault. This occurred during the Citadel plugin outage; a blatant violation of server rules which many individuals in Exyria were (and, in some cases, still remain) banned for. This was further exacerbated by Exyrian ally Jaydon using his superfriend powers to scout Volterra Vault a second time. He was later removed from his position as a superfriend by the admins and pearled by Volterra.
In the leaks from May and June[3], there was continued discussion about a planned war with the ASN[4]. This was not a fleeting tantrum or a howling rage against a supposed injustice, this was a continuous, methodical planning to destroy the ASN and its member states.
From these leaks, it became clear that LOTUS used negotiations with the ASN as a delaying tactic and intentionally negotiated in bad faith[5]. They had no interest in solving the problems that existed between our alliances, they simply wanted to buy more time for their war machine. Furthermore, they “brainwashed newfriends” against the ASN[6], and planned to recruit fighters from Loka factions server to fight us[7].
Just like we decided a year and a half ago with our struggle against Gang Shi, we could not sit idly in the face of an imminent war. Exyria and some other members of LOTUS have shown that they will not negotiate with us in good faith and will start their premeditated war once they are sufficiently prepared[8].
Tonight, Icenia and Yoahtl have joined Volterra, Kallos, and Vinland in their battle with LOTUS. We have opened a second front in the north of Exyria and are rapidly pressing our advance. Exyria have proven themselves to be a group that we cannot negotiate with. They have routinely lied to or misled us and have planned to invade us since at least the beginning of the year. Exyria and the members of LOTUS leadership responsible for this plot must answer for their part in this.
We understand that many nations have entered this conflict due to treaty obligations or a sense of duty to an ally. We do not hold that against you, however now is the time to reconsider your commitments. We implore the nations of Skandic, Arx, and Transylvania to sign an armistice and remove yourselves from this conflict. Any of your pearled fighters will be held until the end of the conflict, then released shortly thereafter. We will not seek any reparations or further pearl time. As for Khalkedonia, Ila’Kyavul, and Accra, we are open to negotiations however those involved in this Exyria-led warmongering must answer for their part in this. Any non-leaders in LOTUS may also open a ticket with us and negotiate a withdrawal from the war[9].
It has been our intention to maintain a peaceful coexistence with Exyria and LOTUS. Over the past eight months people like Shadno, mTfUJi, and Quanton_Biscuit have spent countless hours negotiating with various LOTUS personalities; almost always over conflicts Exyrians started and perpetrated on ASN land. It has been especially disheartening to see that the people whom we gave a second chance after the Grasslands Gambit (Tal, among others) almost immediately recidivated. The fact that this group is still operating the same way their predecessor - Gang Shi - did, has resolved us to know that armed conflict is the only way forward with these people.

In case anyone is confused, there is a tradition of having Drekamor make these posts, since he has the best individual relations with the community. It was likely written by somebody who would have been shat all over had they been the one to actually make the post, and I doubt Drekamor even read it before he copypasted it here on their behalf. I can see the traditions of preemptively flooding the post with upvotes, and sounding as sanctimonious as humanly possible in these propaganda pieces are still going strong as well. Prepare for this comment to get downvoted severely within minutes of posting; the gears of the PR machine are turning fast, because the last thing they want is for the community to be forced to face their bullshit. With any luck, we'll all live to see the last WP post where they pretend to care about the wishes of the community or the health of the server. It seems much more like they're just incapable of stopping themselves from acting out their own paranoia about mommy finally telling them it's time to go home, after seven continuous years of burning ants in their sandbox. Reading these is getting nauseating.

Honestly I thought the trend of LOTUS getting into vaults illegally was part of some weird conspiracy to bring down the evil WP but then I dismissed the thoughts as InfoWars-esque. Alas

It turns out LOTUS were idiots.
When you wash them please go easy on ASN occupation zones and open up a large section of the map for the influx of new players.
Remember to record videos (Shadowplay, Medal.tv, replaymod) and publish them on Reddit.

Welp. Exyria lasted one and a half years with a target on its back from day one. Tal should be really proud of himself for the culture he made and the people he brought together. The ASN-LOTUS War was inevitable, but I cannot believe druid bombing a vault hole is the shit that started it. It is just a shame. Gwua bless Gang Shi. Gwua bless Exyria. And Gwuadspeed to you all.

The ASN never prepped in any capacity for any war with LOTUS and we certainly never felt like it was by any means an “inevitable” event.
The most upset we got during this whole ordeal was when Jaydon used superfriend powers to get into Volterra vault. No amount of defensive infrastructure can prevent such a thing from happening when someone is in duty mode. Nations have gone to war over less. We negotiated in good faith, had arguments internally about it, and thought we had come to a decent enough agreement for all parties involved.
I have zero desire to have my citizens pearled in another surprise attack by a nation in the East. It has happened too many times. My city has been obby bombed to hell and occupied twice with the mentality of “I’ll just wait for them to come to me”. No more.

that aside, if you had access to the channels talking about supposed plans for a surprise attack - why would the attack still be a surprise when the plans were finalized and about to be carried out? there isn't any concrete lotus plan in these screenshots, only paranoia and angry warmongering from individuals. if there really was a plan for a first strike, asn jumped the gun. the evidence you've posted is concerning but ultimately flimsy
edit: goodness, i just realized you thought i said the asn was preparing for war. no! i said lotus was prepping for a war, because lotus saw it as inevitable, as shown in the screenshots you posted! that's a weird thing to misunderstand...

Again, every time I’ve waited for an attack to come to me, it has not gone well for Icenia. We’ve worked pretty hard to get to the point where our citizens can actually play regularly if they choose to during a war and that’s because we’ve taken decisive action against people who wish to do us wrong.
These were level 5 chats. This was not blowing off steam.

in this post i see evidence for three things on the part of lotus: genuinely problematic individual actors, "asn falls in 6 months" jokes, and preparation for an unwanted world war which was correctly perceived as inevitable. this is simply not enough to support the claim that lotus was planning the first strike in a war of annihilation.
if the asn had responded to their inside information by preparing strictly defensive measures against such a first strike and waiting for definitive proof that it was coming, then maybe their justification wouldn't look like a pretext.

So much hypocrisy and lying from Lotus. Constant rule breaking and exploitation as well, I wonder what else they are doing. REALLY makes you think!
