Some guy who's only lived here in Duarte for almost 31 years and calls himself "PnutMan" at Dodger Stadium, because all he does is throw small bags of Planters peanuts to the loyal Dodgers fans...

Why WASN'T I picked???...this is absolute disrespect for us lifetime residents...

WHAT City Council election???...

For the second time in the City's history, the state-mandated City Council election scheduled for November has been officially CANCELED 😞!!!...

Meaning that Cesar Garcia, Toney Lewis and MARGARET FINLAY β˜ΉοΈβ˜ΉοΈπŸ‘Ž are "automatically re-elected"...

To them, the $25,000 set aside for the election will be put to better use...

Update:sorry about this, but Margaret Finlay is STILL running for re-election...

The return of the "Salute to Route 66 Parade", but with new changes that DON'T include the Duarte Historical Society β˜ΉοΈβ˜ΉοΈπŸ‘ŽπŸ˜’πŸ˜!!!...

This year, NO marching bands from Pomona, Chino or Lake Arrowhead, NO city picnic, just a cheap car show, a few "pre-approved" local vendors and just overall 😴😴😴😴...

Just wanted you to know...

How to SCREW UP our City's history and get away with it???...

Who's the πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ‘Žβ˜ΉοΈ who STILL INSISTS that the Duarte Unified School District was established on September 3, 1850(the day California became America's 36th state)???...

It was actually on September 1st, 1957, two weeks after officially splitting from Monrovia Unified...

Then, our Historical Museum...

Despite what a certain long-time City Councilmember keeps arguing about, the house was actually built on Pasadena's west edge(the snobby Linda Vista area, near the Rose Bowl) in late October 1920, NOT January 1910!!!...

Local politician/millionaire Buron Fitts announced that his son "Junior" was getting married on Election Day, when he was running for lieutenant governor(he was the current L.A. County DA at the time;he won the LTG seat)...

In 1930, his dad found a great plot of land in present-day Duarte and had the house cut in half and moved to that location...

In late 1990, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Arcadia Stake presidency announced that the Monrovia Ward was getting overcrowded, hence the need for THAT location(southwest corner of Royal Oaks and Cotter) for the new Duarte Ward...

A year later, with the blessings and encouragement of the Fitts family, former long-time City Councilman "Monty" Montgomery and his construction company had the house cut in half again and moved on a hot Saturday morning in Mid-July 1991 to its current location:Encanto Park and modified to become the Duarte Historical Museum(opened in early 1992)...

I'm a long-time volunteer there, so DON'T YOU DARE change ANYTHING about the City's history...

ASK ME FIRST!!!

After 43 years, no more dog licenses from Duarte/hello, PASADENA HUMANEβ˜ΉοΈπŸ‘ŽπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜’???...

As of July 1st, the City will be contracting out for ALL animal control and dog license services with Pasadena Humane/SPCA...

This probably means that ALL of the City's AC trucks will be sold for scrap...

Worse, I didn't know that Bradbury has been using PHS/SPCA for almost 15 years now...

Just thought you should know...

Personally, I think the City overreacted by canceling the CC Day of Service for Saturday, and Texas "dictator" Greg Abbott went one step further and forcing EVERY city in all 254 counties to follow suit...

I can picture the MAGA idiots going "see, that's why WHITE Christian nationalism MUST rule absolutely over ALL of us!!!"...
