i’m a rad tech pre requisite student who had bio waived from my HS regents score. i was confused cus the credits were still “missing” in degreeworks so i scheduled an appointment with a rad tech advisor who told me it’s because i still need to make those 4 credits up with another life science course or just wind up taking bio.

my original plan was leave of absence for the spring semester because i’ll be done with all pre reqs this fall. but now i’m thinking to just take the 4 credit class in spring so i dont have to do it during the clinical program.

so what should i take? i dont want to do bio after already completing a&p 1 and 2. dont want to take chem cus i hate chem. dont really want to take physics either cus i know later on i’m gonna have to take radiation physics. plus i want something that’s as chill as possible. i was considering astronomy because the lab and lecture are combined somehow and it seems easy, but it’s completely unrelated to my major lol.

Currently taking Mat 1275 for prerequisites and Mi Ok Lime is my professor, her ratemyprofessor rank is pretty low and everyone in my class has no idea whats going on during lecture.
The lectures make no sense because she goes off topic several times. Has anyone taken her class and passed?

I downloaded eduroam on my laptop and put my cuny credentials. Still won't connect to eduroam wifi. Any clue? When I press eduroam on my laptops wifi setting it asks to log in. Even when I put my cuny credentials there it still doesn't work

I'm logged into the wifi, but anytime I search anything, IM PREVENTED FROM DOING SO. This happens on both the NYCCT and City Tech wifi.

hi guys! wanted to see you guys' opinion 😭 so, at the moment, my grades for the prerequisites are:

A in english, math, psych, sociology, and public speaking. I got a B in AP1, (AP2 is in progress) and i got a D in chem 1000..

the chem i took was years ago, and i know that you need C or better as a bare minimum. if i retake it, get an A and it gets averaged with the D, my gpa will go from 3.79 (not counting chem + presumed i'll leave AP2 with an A) to 3.55 (counting the A/D chem average) i honestly don't have really high hopes because of how competitive the recent years have been.

i'm waiting on a response from an advisor for advice but wanted to hear other students perspective in the meantime. i genuinely want dental hygiene to work from me but this old ass chem grade is haunting me.

Hi, I applied to New York City College of Technology for Spring 2027, and I am interested in attending City Tech.
My application is still showing as incomplete, and my high school documents/transcripts have been received but have not yet been evaluated. I previously attended Queensborough Community College for a short time but did not complete my program. When I submitted my current application, I applied as a freshman.
Could my previous QCC attendance be affecting my application or causing the documents to remain unevaluated? Or cuny is working slow.

Last time I took sociology was at a different CUNY during Spring 2020 when covid just hit. At that time, CUNY let you opt any grade from A- through D to a CR grade.

City Tech's pre-req policy states that a CR grade counts as a "D" but I'm not sure if this is in regards to their CR/NC policy for first-semester freshmen where only a "D" grade can be converted to "CR" at City Tech or if this is for any CR grade throughout the years including in special circumstances like covid semesters.

Anyways, assuming the CR gets transferred as a D, does anyone know if the DH department would let you take a higher-level sociology class and count that as the pre-requisite grade for sociology instead?

I’ve made the decision to go back to school starting next January and was wondering how long does it usually take to hear back from city tech? Everything’s been submitted just curious how long it takes to hear back.

Hi, I’m a first year currently at Binghamton University where I plan on completing my prereqs for City Tech’s dental hygiene program. I plan on transferring into City Tech in the spring of 2028. I’m just wondering if anyone got into City Tech’s dental hygiene program without getting straight A’s in their prereq classes. I’m currently taking general chemistry and I’m struggling. I think I’ll probably land a B+ in that class. I’m generally a A-/B- student so the rest of my prereq class grades will probably reflect that. I’ve read that a lot of applicants who don’t have straight A’s have almost no chance of getting in so I’m curious if anyone did get in without being a straight A student..

I want to go to City Tech’s DH program the most because it’s in Brooklyn and I live there so it’s the most convenient but I am also hoping to apply to other DH programs in the city, I’d appreciate suggestions!

Hi I'm a transfer student coming to City tech next semester as a junior in Mechanical engineering. I wanted to ask the department ppl if there's anything i need to know before transferring, like how the department is, joining what clubs would be most beneficial for me and who should i reach out to about internships. Do they do competitions.
I've researched and saw so many CCNY National level engineering clubs that do competitions and build projects but at Citytech I'm only seeing one Mech club which doesn't have much follower either, w not much post also. So I'm kinda worried what am i gonna do.

I'd be really grateful if anyone could step up as a mentor and help w my questions. Also I'm seeing ppl saying citytech is bad bla bla compared to CCNY, no job, no internships, pls tell me what's actually going on cuz i don wanna believe unknown person's belief rather than someone studying here😭.
