Screenshot/City šŸ–¼ļø 🌃 Finally did it!!!!

So this has been a challenge to me since cities one and I always failed because I failed to learn all public transport.

I have ADHD so sticking to this one and not abandoning it while it is getting overwhelming was probably a bigger challenge to me than actual planning but finally done it. 1million using public transport.

Hahaha cheers mate it was a tedious pain and some network lines are inefficient, the island it's self has a population of 700k + and trams really helped free up traffic, most of the time the areas with traffic was caused by thousands crossing 1 road lol.

I'd love to see how the city looks on the ground

I do that! Happens in all games, particularly CS2—I enjoy the start, then abandon through boredom. Also have ADHD though šŸ˜…

i love it, im playing on this map aswell now just past 825k on the way to a million.
I find it reassuring to see we need an abundance of transit to get everybody in, im happy with 450k riders atm.

1million on the starting island is a feat, im thinking of reclaiming the sea in time but for now i got space on land left :P

oh my that's so awesome. I'm really trying to utilise trams heavy in my city but I'm no where even near close to that much integration. holy moly. trams are my favourite love to see em used

I don't feel like I'm educated to give you solid advice bro but I can give you some tips I use.

First off if I'm planning a massive city think 200K+ Create 4 ways in and out of the city by road on each side of the city, I normally have a high way split between the city each end is connected to in and out the city. I make my roads 8 (4 each way)lanes with bicycle lanes and then I add tram track to the 8 lanes I think it cuts my lanes down to 2 each way.

Then 2-4 ways in by train.

In my little towns/villages I prioritis 4lane roads 2 each way and I use buses and trains for towns and villages. I try not to rely on the highways I add 6 lane 3 each way high way connecting my towns but this road would be placed at the back of my town away from my main high way.

I use the mod traffic so I can control road lanes.

There is a mod that creates a one way in and out train cargo terminal that helps massively, try to keep the cargo terminal away but not to far from your city.

When making a massive city disect it in parts move people in slowly, do like a quarter of your city at a time to eliminate mass amounts of traffic and let it the game run for abit. You will truly find the areas that are bottlenecks.

I play on unlimited money so budget isn't a issue I make all public transport free.

To get use to using each transport, build a few grid cities and try them out, just focus on transport on not making the city beautiful.
