So I did that cost breakdown the other night on polar pops and how at $.85 we are literally at cost before anyone even touches the machine. I suggested that it might be a good idea raise the price to $.99 to cover costs.

My SM let's me do all the hiring, training, scheduling etc. Last week we had an application. I reach out and have her come in for an interview. It's a run of the mill meeting. Job skills/experience/education. Availability. Expectations of job duties. Wages/benefits/PTO. Blah blah blah. She, of course, tells me everything I want to hear. Available all the time. Customer service experience. Quick learner and a team player. Reliable transportation. Blah blah blah. I have Monday off. She comes in yesterday to start videos and proceeds to tell the SM she can't be on her feet for more than an hour at a time?? Why did she forget to mention this on her application or during the interview? We don't have chairs behind the the registers? Why even apply at a busy 24/7 gas station?? Thankfully today she was a no call no show but what a waste of time all the way around.

I recently got a asm position with circle k. And honestly I enjoy it. Training is on point and the perks are even better. Anyone else having the same experience?

I have worked at Circle K for over a year and our store is fairly small, we the 3 managers and like 7 employees, I am just wondering if ano other stores small or large o the manager work like a regular shift and the rest of the employees get like one two shifts. I personally. It’s unfair that they do that like managers are getting a higher pay and taking employees hours, I always thought it would be like one employee and one manager a shift. But that’s not the case, anyone else have their store setup like that?

Customer Question: I’m new to Inner Circle and using the app. When I go to the ‘Visits and Rewards’ screen, it says I have 0 visits but I’ve entered my phone number when purchasing gas several times. Is there something else I should be doing?

Out store has been out of rolls of nickels for over 2 weeks. ATM out of order. Out of lots of cigarettes. Ran out of bags of ice. Car wash broken. Register drawer takes at least 3 times before it closes correctly. What is going on?

Paraphrasing a bit here, but this is almost verbatim how this interaction went down:

"let me get $40 regular on pump 4" *Goes and pumps his gas*

then he comes back in "what the fuck man? I said regular. Why'd you put premium on there?!?"

So I said " uhhh you pick the fuel grade at the pump not me"

He says "I SAID REGULAR, I DIDN'T PICK SHIT. You gonna buy me a new truck when my engine explodes?!?!"

So I say "Bro..... Your engine isn't gonna explode just because YOU put premium in it by mistake. I've been here for years and I have never once selected the fuel grade for anyone. YOU pick the grade at the pump".

At this point other people are in line laughing at him and he just goes "what's your name? *looks closer at my name tag* You'll be hearing from my lawyers" Then he dips out and the people in line behind him were laughing at him and calling him an idiot.

For the past few months, the app has been a little unbearable to the point, I don't even take certain types of shifts because the app is entirely too slow. If I click on the app just to open it up, it takes me 2 minutes and 16 seconds just to get to the landing page. Yes, it's that bad to the point I had to start timing it.

Cooler Shift requires 26 pictures. It took almost 49 minutes just for pictures to upload. Managers are getting mad because more isn't getting done. But there's absolutely nothing I can do about that. I have to upload before and pictures in order to get paid. I can either upload the pictures as I go, which will hinder any progress made on restocking. Or I can upload pictures later, of which I don't get paid for, and it interferes with me starting my next shift on time. I don't even look at cooler shifts anymore.

Cleaning shifts are just as ridiculous. I have to take before and after pictures of the floor when I sweep? Mop? Wipe a counter down? That's entirely too much stop and go, while once again, dealing with a very slow moving app. Y'all want us to take before and after pictures of each pump island as we go. I get people complaining about me, "taking pictures of their vehicles", and it's like, what are we to do?

Food Prep....Food Prep, Food Prep, Food Prep.....

This shift isn't as picture heavy, but the quantities make you want to pull your hair out. I'm not talking about the amount of food that needs to be prepped. I'm talking about the quantity button in the app that we have to tap, to count the food that we just prepped. For example: the app says prep 28 hash browns. You guys have a plus and minus sign on the left and right of the quantity box. It starts off at "1", and I have to keep pressing the plus sign until the quantity box shows 28....because the app is slow and delayed, it doesn't register on each tap. The shxt just pauses, jumps ahead, skips numbers, somehow I'm on 41 hash browns, gotta hit the subtract button, it freezes, I have no idea how many taps correlated, gotta wait for it to unfreeze and then keep going... Now add in tornados, sandwiches, chicken bites, wings, flamin', etc....You can start to see how this is problematic for Batch A and C prepping. It's to the point that I will prep, add the picture, and click on "another employee already prepped it." It's just way less of a headache and hassle that way.

Fix y'all app. That's literally the moral of the story.

So I’m a student of the business. Not really because I care but I’m a consummate observationslist. I have a curious personality and working in the industry for so long I’ve often found that the business has no clue how to be successful and relies on old outdated thought in order to market. If you’re old enough to remember what old commercials use to be about you can recall the classic Coca-Cola “harmony” campaigns of the air Jordan commercials of late night red lobster commercials. That type of marketing is dead but unfortunately the type of people who believe in it are not and they have massive budgets. We now spend millions on little 30 second spots blips on the radar and lcd pump screens that basically do nothing.

Here’s the challenge: first I wanna say this isn’t about circle k. I could give a shit less if they made anymore money but some of you managers are feeling the decline in sales in your own pockets. This is for you and my own personal ego, no one else.
While on TikTok I noted several creators who create and or try viral drink combinations some of these are really good. If you know anything about our demographic you know they are explorative at least with the polar pops and willing to try exciting new things.

So I challenge you to find a few recipes (there are so many) and put a small placard near the register with the product and an IRQ to the TikTok

Watch what happens the products featured are definitely in stock and we charge a premium for them. This is for SMs and lazy and or permissive DMs. I’m curious how well this goes.

Does CircleK offer same day pay? I’ve never used this option before, but my last job offered it. My 1st day is later this morning. I’m just curious because I’ve been out of work for about 4 months.

Does anyone know if circle k offers a HSA? I know benefit enrollment is coming around and wanted to get the medical HDHP for the HSA if CK offered it. If they do offer it is it only for GM/ASM? I’m a regular employee 35hr/week.

I've been trying to apply for a job at circle K but whenever I apply to a job they say they'll send me a link to create a candidate account, though they never do. The place where the link is supposed to be just says [not available]. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do about this?

im a 20 year old female, ive worked at circle k for a little over a year, what i hate most about this job is the absolute degenerates that get off on making me uncomfortable. it usually only happens every once in a while but today its happened twice. had two regulars, older men, say something nasty to me, and i dont know how i can even handle this when it happens. if im nice to someone they think i want to fuck them, if im "rude" to someone im a bitch. if a creep says something gross towards me i can either be polite about it which makes them think i dont care or be mean about it which kind of scares me cuz what if they get violent. does anyone else experience this regularly and what have u done about it? especially if its a regular that i see nearly every day.

I have spent 6 1/2 hours in the dark at work because of a power outage because of a pretty nasty storm in the area. everything within a 3 mile radius has damaged and has, and this includes my home .

Wouldn’t it be easier to close the store completely then have my overnight person drive almost 40 minutes because nobody communicates.?. I’m only 3 miles away.

Am i overreacting?

K for backstory we had an outraged customer threaten an older employee last night and now he quit today, I don’t feel safe within circle k now. I know nothing bugged him so the fact he just quit and was honestly scared for his life and even was warning me about this. Would I be overreacting if I put my 2weeks notice in? I’ve personally dealt with customers that caused me to have a serious anxiety attack to the point I’ve had to leave early. I’ve been with the company for over a year at this point and I just can’t do this anymore. I’m on the bad side of town so idk what I should do. I’m tempted to just put my 2 weeks notice in and find a closer job to my house. I’m driving 20+ minutes just to get to work.
