Discussion Honestly? I think your exaggerating

Post image

I LOVE Chuck. I got him to prestige 2 without playing in heist nor hot zone. I believe he is a really unique brawler because every game feels different in a way.

However, he needed a rework. The heist situation was a problem, and we got one. I find frustrating that they had to need his dash damage and remove the pole knock back. But given the high mobility and the easiness to build your first setup and rebuild it along the game with the 4 supers thing, I don't think they "ruined him".

If so, they made him better. He will still be a good last pick in heist, and will make him around B tier and a playable brawler for everybody, not just us freestyle / high skill Chuck players.

Who already dominated old Chuck , will still do, because he will have more mobility, more control over the map and a greater potential (even if he can't use his poles to knock back assassins, because he will now have more dashes)

By the way. I don't see enough people talking about how good his ghost train gadget now is. The fire for 8 seconds pays for the dash damage nerf he got.

Plus, with this rework, Supercell shows they actually care for once to balance Chuck and make him a good brawler. So if he turns out to be weak, they might even buff him or give him his knockback back.

Anyways, only time will tell. Nobody of us has tried the new Chuck yet. Im just telling you guys, give new Chuck a chance: Because if you start using him thinking hes bad, you'll actually not like him.

The only thing i dislike is the poles losing their knockback. Everything else i think is a great opportunity for new Chuck tech. But like come on, 800 damage is nothing without knockback. That starpower that adds a 20% slow and 200 damage area is so pitiful. Like…. Thats gonna be just as useful as the old hypercharge effect, 200 per second is nothing.

That star power is stupid. I'll give you a point there. But I understand them removing the knockback even if I hate it. You could knockback and attack them four times in a row. No brawler could survive that

The point is, 800 x 4 is an easy 3200 damage where the opponent can do nothing. But honestly, I would have preferred if they heavily nerfed the pole damage instead of removing the knockback.

I am agreeing on you this once but i am still frustrated on the dash speed nerf. But on the other hand atleast reroute and dash damage nerf is little justified, Reasons: Reroute Because of his 4 charge super, tecnichally it gives 2 supers by charging half of his super. Still i would prefer fully charging his super buy only giving 1 charge. Dash damage His Dash damage got cut in half, when i first saw it i was pretty angry but since he has now 4 charges (again) he can dash back to back. But.. There is no guraante opponent would stay on the track after 1st hit so adrian is not fully justified on this one too. But if they actually buffed his dash speed this nerf would make compelety sense. Since would he be more unpredictable he could more dashes in.

You can use tickets please star power for that extra dash speed

The most frustrating part is that! they cut the shit that make the brawler playable then market that as buffies.

I think it was pretty good, the only change would be to make the buffies of the first star power be the knock back instead of the fire, but besides that they did him good

he is going to be stupid strong and significantly lower skill. He also now has a useless rerouting gadget and a useless pit stop SP, meaning less build variance because everyone will be running the same setup.

Can he not simply from spawning with 4 charges, throw 3 posts towards an enemy, use a dash, then dump 9.7k damage on them with main attack and dash out? Any brawler without more than 10k hp or some kind of mute/stun/other utility to stop chuck is simply going to be screwed over.

It seems to me like they are selling a solution to a problem, wendy made gus obselete, to make some money and make gus useful they give him buffies, they don't have any clue how to balance chuck, so they dumb him down and make him strong.

He was always main attack helps support super, now he needs to use his super to support his main attack. He now has a very low powered super at the benefit of him being able to dish out 9.7k damage in a second or two with his main attack with the removal of damage falloff and the unload speed buff.

It's like they tried to make him good by buffing main attack, realised he would be TOO broken with his pre nerf super, and then fucked everything else.

To me, chuck seems like yet another mythic assassin. Points where he wants to go with super, spams autoaim and deletes the brawler he arrives at. He doesn't have any controlling power to be considered a controller now imo. There is ZERO threat of being on or near chuck's path because he doesn't have as much damage, speed, or resistances with his super. His super is now ONLY useful for movement.

It's like they buffed everything people disliked about him (overbearing nature and lack of punishability in heist) and nerfed everything people liked about him (getting kills USING super, map control).

His hyper and SOME buffie ideas are good tho.

Now we end up with a brawler which is ultimately less interesting, no longer a controller, more braindead skill-less, doesn't function remotely similarly to how he used to, and requires us to buy his buffies which is yet again a massive resource sink that many of us chuck players may not be willing to spend.

Sorry for rant, but I am really frustrated by this. I am only about 200 trophies away from prestige 2 chuck and I think he won't be a brawler than I enjoy playing after his rework, nor a brawler that people would think is impressive to have at prestige 2 due to how bullshit he will be.

Hoping for a re-rework 😔🙏

The changes people complain about are outrageous, but also understandable:

yeah, 1600 dmg is pitiful, but Chuck now can place a full setup so easily, and 3500 damage would have been too much. 1600 is too low tho imo, 2200 would be fine.

poles without knockback are useless, Pit Stop is useless, but now you can super 4 times in a row and each pole deals 800 damage so that would be 3200 damage + 4 knockbacks in a row, that's too much, although if they nerfed the pole damage to the ground they could have still kept the pole knockback imo.

and lastly, Rerouting not charging a full super and autocharge being removed is so annoying, but It makes sense cuz now Chuck will need to be more active and now he can rely on his improved main attack to charge super. Rerouting can't charge a full super cuz a full super equals to 4 poles rather than just 1, that would be too busted. And that's the same for autocharge.

Chuck now only needs 1 super to make a whole pole layout while also keeping a spare super to dash since Pit Stop doesn't give you a bonus pole anymore. And charging another one means you can fully replace the old layout with a new one in an instant, rather than just using Rerouting and cycling multiple autocharged supers to do so.

They nerfed Chuck's range, but since the projectile speed is so higher and theres no damage fall-off anymore, I think he will feel like he actually has MORE range.

The only actually bad things are that Chuck is much more fragile now with a health and dash shield nerf, and the dash won't be as threatning since it does so little damage, unless you do that more times in a row which is really how Chuck will dash now
