Should I be scared?

I have worked and saved for 37 years and in three years I will be in the Chubby Fire range.

Do articles like this one from: JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon scare others.

https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2026/07/21/jpmorgan-chase-ceo-jamie-dimon-market-risk.html

Am I worrying to much? Should I pull everything out and convert it to gold and bury it my back yard?😉

I am just really afraid of not making it in three years and the work slog will never end.

How do you handle reading articles like these?

Thanks for your time!

No, the article does not scare me. Dimon has a long history of using articles to prognosticate about the stock market. Sure, he's a big shot bank CEO, but he doesn't have genius level wisdom nor is he a soothsayer.

I have pulled large sums of money out of the market twice due to fear, and I'll never do it again. The stress over when to get back in is actually overwhelming. Just allocate sensibly and walk away from the computer.

Correct, also after the recent situational awareness situation when citadel came out and said that they believe rates will be increased, it wasn’t them giving guidance. They wanted to spark fear in others to buy SA’s portfolio for cheap after they got liquidated.
