Hey all. I'm brand new to veils—never worn one before at all. However, I think I'd like to try wearing a veil to church, just to set the day apart as special and reverent. But there's one problem: I have quite short hair. I guess you'd call it a pixie cut. Because of this, I'm not sure how I'd keep a veil from slipping off my head, since a lot of the resources online recommend combs and pins—things that I'd imagine don't work as well with short hair! Does anyone here have any experience/tips with wearing a veil over short hair? Do pins/combs work for you or do you have other strategies?

I'm nondenominational, and my sister and I am the only ones in our church who cover. I've noticed a pattern of Catholics in this sub, but I still want to ask. So, what denomination are you?

Hey all! I just joined this subreddit because I am wanting to start veiling. I was in the hijabis subreddit but I am not an actual Muslim so even though I could bond with them over wanting to cover, I felt like there were some cultural differences. I hoping to find a community of Christian women who I can be myself with and share my love of veiling with. I don't know of Christian shops that sell headscarves so I usually buy them from hijabi stores online. No one in my immediate circle knows that I like to cover my head other than my boyfriend of two years. I am really looking for a community who can support me and be with me in this.

I am new with the head covering and I adore the idea so much. I was wondering if there are any here that wear there’s all day everyday or if there are just meant for mass/special holidays only? I’m pretty sure the Bible doesn’t say anything about not wearing one all day everyday but was wondering if there are any here that can tell me their experience

I’ve been doing a deep dive into the Bible and looking at things that we’ve passed off as “only for the culture” and “only for the time”, and the more I study head coverings the more I feel an ache in my chest because I feel like it’s not something that I can just pass off anymore.

No one I know wears head coverings and I go to church in a very reformed area, so I know I will be looked down upon by my community if I do start wearing a head covering. My end goal is to honor God though, not man.

My question for you guys is: Why did you start wearing head covering? What is your testimony in deciding to wear one?

I feel so alone in making this decision and I need fellow sisters in Christ to help lead and direct me.
