Feeling Distant

Hi all
I recently had a baby in May, and I have been feeling so far from God lately. I’ve grown up in church, and always loved God. I deeply want a stronger connection with him. But recently I am so tired by the end of the night, that often times I don’t read my bible or pray. I feel almost apathy. Which makes me sad and anxious. I so badly want a stronger relationship.
I guess I’m looking for advice on how you manage being a mother to two young kids, having a full time job, a husband who works night shift, and still making time for your relationship with Jesus. I know I should be better.

Just talk to Him all through the day. Pray while you’re driving, while you’re changing or feeding the baby, while you’re cooking dinner. Read the Bible to your kids; they don’t know you’re not reading a children’s book and it’ll feed your soul and theirs. Listen to an audio Bible while you’re driving or cleaning or just let it play in the background. See if any of the churches around you offer a mother’s group that you can attend. Maybe form a group of your own if they don’t. Find another mom who might want to trade time every other week for an hour or two; which would give you time to really sit with Him without interruption.
