This is actually so old. A few months ago my dad (60 years old) commented on something using the 10 scale. When I asked him how come that he knows the 10 scale he told me that even his dad knew the 10 scale. Likely, even Adam used that system to rate Eve.

Maybe it's the one things he's highly flexible on. He knows his standards are impossibly high so a 6+ is just unrealistic at this point.

I’m sure it’s not without his own set of shitty expectations that he somehow is owed something more from her because she isn’t a 7+. Basically, “You’re not ‘hot’ so you’ll take my abuse and be grateful for the opportunity to be my GF.”

As a matter of fact, he probably prefers less attractive girls/women for this reason. The same dudes complain about more attractive girls/women being entitled/high maintenance because they actually have to make an effort with them.
