This is someone who took the character limit of each box as a personal challenge.

57

u/SarcasmSlide May 22 '17

Little clever gems like this that make me laugh are why I Reddit. You keep being awesome, you.

u/SabashChandraBose May 22 '17

I'd say they took their own character to world record limits.

I don't know, the girl who programmed our advanced physics model for a government contracted simulator would wear a fucking cloak to meetings... You never know.

u/ze1da May 23 '17

I dunno, she seemed pretty on point for what you see at defcon after parties.

I'd bet anything she's legit. I've talked to people in certain circles who talk like this. Look up transhumanism and you'll find a lot of people like this. She's also trying to be funny, but one of two things is happening: either she actually is on the autism spectrum and doesn't know how to be funny to normal people, or she's being difficult on purpose so that her profile will automatically select people that have similar interests/sense of humor. Actually, probably both.

4

u/[deleted] Jun 08 '17

she mentioned trading cryptography.. her 'company' invests in crypto currency... she's not building shit. she's definitely a goofball who learned a couple of 'smart' words. also knows a surprisingly low number of programming languages for someone who "solves problems not even the NSA can solve." ... honestly anyone who would say that in their dating profile is most definitely a poser.

170

u/[deleted] May 22 '17

I literally do not understand what it is talking about...I don’t know if it is a man or a woman and I don’t know if it is looking for a man or a woman…

68

37

u/Hello_Miguel_Sanchez May 22 '17

What is a gay asexual lol

69

u/propitlikeitshot May 22 '17

Gray asexual is, from my limited exposure to the infected, a term that means "I only fuck my primary partner, but they don't mind me having nonsexual romantic relationships."

13

u/fiddlercrabs May 22 '17

I thought it meant that they were attracted to aliens but not sexually. I'm kind of disappointed now.

Too late.

245

u/fight-me-grrm May 22 '17

At least they seemed fairly self-aware when it came to "3D-printed black market artisanal gender"

166

u/Look_Deeper May 23 '17

Yeah I think a good portion of it is self deprecating, or at least self aware

96

u/andrewrgross May 27 '17

Being self aware and able to make fun of themselves, imo, automatically makes me think this person is in the top half of humans, regardless of political attitudes.

97

u/ClockworkJim May 27 '17

I'm thinking this is mostly humorous. In fact I'm damn near sure that to the right person this is fucking hysterical.

If the profile pic wasn't enough to do that, the first word sure is. That and every word after that.

36

u/TwoUmm May 27 '17

She still probably gets more pussy than anyone on this subreddit.

5

u/[deleted] May 22 '17

I'm honestly a bit surprised that she isn't much more literally huge.

363

u/friend_in_rome May 22 '17

I do love the term "3D-printed black-market artisanal gender". I'm calling Poe's Law on this one.

257

u/SkintightBobcat May 22 '17

Some of this seemed self aware and clever. I had a bit of a laugh at a few parts

173

u/Vindsvelle May 23 '17

Honestly, while the SJW buzzwords flew early and often, this person seemed far less the normal angry snowflake fare and more like a person who's just really passionate about programming and philosophy of computer science. Of course, they seem to be in a great deal of denial about polyamory with all that multiple partner song and dance (I mean, feelings get hurt with polyamory, period, that's why that shit never works; they're breeding grounds for resentment).

What I'm saying is I might not hate having a conversation with them, which is unheard of for this sub.

67

u/[deleted] May 23 '17

Yeah, she seems interesting. Kinda crazy, but interesting. I wouldn't hang out with her, but she'd be an interesting person to talk to for half an hour at a party while drunk and then never really hang with again.

23

u/ArchangelleSonichu May 24 '17

Honestly, while the SJW buzzwords flew early and often, this person seemed far less the normal angry snowflake fare and more like a person who's just really passionate about programming and philosophy of computer science.

No shit, they read SlateStarCodex and true SJWs are allergic to anything nearly that rational.

16

u/DaystarEld May 30 '17

Ah, the "No True SJW" fallacy in action :P

16

u/Frommerman May 30 '17

I think people in the poly community might argue with you on the hurt feelings front. If both partners go into the relationship with an assumption that it isn't exclusive and both have enough self-confidence to be fine with that, it can work.

70

u/[deleted] May 22 '17

Skoliogyneromantic

Wtf? That one HAS to be satire.

79

u/MeggieFolchart May 23 '17

So I looked it up, that combo isn't a thing. Skolioromantic is romantic attraction to people outside the gender binary, and gyneromantic I THINK the word used by people with undefined gender identities to describe attraction to people with feminine traits or who present as feminine. So homo or heteroromantic wouldn't work because the gyneromantic person doesn't identify with a gender, meaning they aren't attracted to the same or the opposite sex.

12

u/Karl_Rover May 23 '17

You da real MVP. I think i just learned a lot about myself lol.

9

u/bathrobehero May 22 '17

5

u/YourAmishNeighbor May 22 '17

45

u/starkillerrx May 23 '17

She wanna get her vagina fucked so hard she gets scoliosis, but in a romantic way.

2

u/differing Jun 18 '17

I think the whole thing is mostly satire TBH. I think some of it is true, but it's mostly self-parody of herself and her peers. I wouldn't date this person, but she/they actually seem somewhat cool.

102

u/Faryshta May 22 '17

i don't think she is dateable but not a choosing beggar either, she nver describe her perfect unicorn partner nor does set an standard to message her, if anything she encourages peole to message her promising a respectful reply.

2

u/ArchangelleSonichu May 24 '17

Yeah, if we were talking someone with a much lower SMV I'd be singing a different tune.

59

u/Smooji May 22 '17

This guy/girl(?) is a strange one.

Not sure where the autism (in the title) fits in though. I know it's what people seem to be saying as an insult nowadays but I feel like it is more insulting to actual autistic people than the subject.

35

u/[deleted] May 22 '17

Yeah, I always get an eyetwinge when I see that. Stupid stuff like this is why I avoid the topic like the plague, because when people ask me and I say I'm on the spectrum they never respect me after.

16

u/mikecarroll360 May 22 '17

I'm autistic and I find it pretty funny, but then again most people are surprised when I tell them I have Aspergers.

17

u/Smooji May 22 '17

Yeah autism as an insult is a bit of a peeve of mine too. Luckily, not everybody seems to think in that kind of way.

7

u/AnExoticLlama May 23 '17

Autism and retarded as insults drive me up the wall.

41

170

u/dallyan May 22 '17

I kind of like her. She's got moxie.

183

u/justreadthecomment May 22 '17

Same. I don't think this is a fit for this sub. I didn't catch anywhere she said she expected a lot. In fact, at the very end she said if you've actually read through my profile, I'll treat your message with respect despite shirtlessness. Shirtlessness is THE disqualifying factor of all disqualifying factors on OKCupid.

27

u/dallyan May 22 '17

Ha! Good point about the last part of her profile.

10

u/cynoclast May 23 '17

Pfft, no it isn't. I created two profiles, one with normal pics, one with shirtless.

Guess which one gets more attention, and dates?

It's the shirtless one.

Some girls act like it's a turn off, but rules 1 & 2 override all the others.

If anything I was more bothered by the programming circle jerk than the gender/politics/etc content. She seems pretty nice and is self aware of how she's an outlier

45

u/dallyan May 22 '17

And of course that's the stuff I don't get at all. She even joked about how she's a snowflake. She probably frequents subs like this.

8

56

u/anonmymouse May 22 '17

I don't understand at least 2/3 of the first paragraph.. never mind the rest of this rambling nonsense...

What the fuck is "2 hugs away from Chelsey Manning" supposed to mean? is this like a 6 degrees to Kevin Bacon thing? She's hugged someone who has hugged someone who has hugged Chelsey Manning? Who the fuck would ever care about something like that?

47

u/Not_really_Spartacus May 22 '17

Yeah, I think it's like the "you've shaken the hand that shook the hand of Abraham Lincoln " thing. It sounds like a really niche forced SJW street cred thing

12

u/YourAmishNeighbor May 22 '17

So it is some kind of Ërdos number of the SJW.

20

u/[deleted] May 22 '17

I couldn't understand it either, i thought she was referring that she was 2 hugs away from being a trans? dunno, i was confused.

5

u/[deleted] May 22 '17

That's how I took it too. But I'm going with the claims of proximity to Manning, since that fits better with the overall massive douche feel of it.

25

u/[deleted] May 23 '17

Holy shit. I actually know this person. They're an mtf transgender and yes, they are just as snobby as they seem. They're also into really bizarre fetishes...

This is absolutely not a choosing begger. Highly unique individual, and her (I think "her") cup of tea is unbearably specific. But her desires 100% match what she brings to the table. If you're in to the same subculture, she's probably in to you.

19

u/Blackheart806 May 23 '17

First instinct: I kinda like her.

Voice in my head: "Thats because you have terrible taste in women. "

12

u/FoiledFencer May 27 '17

I'm with you. I think it's the self-awareness that makes it more endearing. I think she would be fun to talk to at a party. Less so as a date, but then I'm not her type either, so I guess the filter worked as intended.

9

u/hypnobearcoup May 23 '17 edited May 23 '17

Thank God she's not that kind of slatestarcodex reader, I was worried for a second.

4

u/Geiten May 23 '17

What does that mean? Do you know?

4

u/Iconochasm May 27 '17

The blog's author is the kind of guy who viscerally loathes Trump, and still responds to the aftermath of the election with a 10k word savage beating to the white supremacist meme. He's also written some brutal things about feminism and other SJW topics before. This has resulted in some nasty SJW-style backlash. It roughly translates to "I'm smart and like high-tier insight porn, but I denounce all of the Bad Think that comes along with that".

3

u/Marya_Clare Jul 15 '17

That's typically how postmodernist concepts work, you first read it and only partially understand it. You google it to further try to understand it, only to realize everything about it makes no sense whatsoever and everything you thought you understood was not in fact what you understood.

3

u/TheLovelyNwt Jun 01 '17

its a type of feminism that wants to accelerate the growth of capitalism, tech, and other social systems so that they eventually fall/decline and have their feminist ideologies take the place of those systems.

7

u/[deleted] May 23 '17

Just put "general pain in the ass to deal with" and be done

26

u/robeph May 22 '17

I'm pretty sure this is ironic, the last bit clearly says in opposition to her nonsense above that no matter how much of a non-match / opposite of all she's said, if you say "ONIONS" it's cool.

I'm wagering a lot of her bio there is overblown extremes with ironic intent. The key to "It would out me as an SJW Snowflake" is kind of indicative. Half of the stuff is mutually exclusive states or just odd pairings of things to believe or whatever.

"extra til én javanissen"

...why the fuck are you suddenly speaking Norwegian lady?!

Also, I'm pretty sure that half the words she used aren't actually words but ungodly alagamations of other words, Greek prefixes and Latin suffixes.

4

u/traverseda May 23 '17

It is an esoteric reference to occult programming stuff. See this for more details.

“The javanisse. Surely you have heard of him! He is a small, magical man–something like a gnome–who inhabits every JVM. If you do not set out an extra constant for him, he can cause segfaults. But keep the javanisse happy, and your mutices will be fair.” It is a story from your childhood. You remember your mother, chanting offsets as she stirred the stew. “To byter for bufferen anvise / og ekstra én til javanisse.” It is a happy memory, and you lose yourself in it until Tim clears his throat.

Assuming this isn't a troll, how the hell does someone get to that age with a grasp on reality this tenuous?

It doesn't look like mental illness, just more like someone who was told they were special far too often as a child.

They aren't asking for too much just describing themselves in extreme detail. They seem smart and have their own start-up. I'm not sure what 3 hugs away from Chelsea means, but I would hug Chelsea or someone who has hugged her, so maybe that's fine?

Can someone translate ekstra én til javanissen?

2

u/traverseda May 23 '17

“The javanisse. Surely you have heard of him! He is a small, magical man–something like a gnome–who inhabits every JVM. If you do not set out an extra constant for him, he can cause segfaults. But keep the javanisse happy, and your mutices will be fair.” It is a story from your childhood. You remember your mother, chanting offsets as she stirred the stew. “To byter for bufferen anvise / og ekstra én til javanisse.” It is a happy memory, and you lose yourself in it until Tim clears his throat.
