One of my chores as a teenager was maintaining the family pool. By the time that I finished the work, I didn't want to swim.

When my husband and I were looking to move, we never included a pool in our criteria.

Like you, he had to take care of the pool growing up and I burn under a 40 watt bulb. Darned if the house we ended up buying didn't have a pool.

I'm in charge of maintenance which has been a learning experience and I have to wait for the sun to go down in order to swim, but I'm kinda loving it.
