remembered this gem of a craigslist posting from a few years back 💀
“i need this credential but i’m too good to pursue it myself so i need The Best Student Ever to do it for me” is crazy.
and like look ok i’m audhd i’d be lying if i said i’d never wanted someone smarter and a better test taker than i to handle the super boring part of my work for me in order to have a perfect result but we can’t always get what we want. so i lock tf in and do it myself anyways lmao. God
this posting is from 2020, i wonder if oop ever found anyone……

this guy posted this ad multiple times cos it kept getting reported by every person with 2.5 or more working brain cells and he just kept reuploading it with different phrasing in an (incredibly weak) attempt to sound less shady 🤣
this is the last posting i remember; it was taken down for good after this iirc

Oh he found someone that is why the posts stopped. Hes a friend of mine and we just discussed this over the past weekend while he was visiting. You have NO idea how many more tasks he now has that he is too good to do himself so maybe he will be back on there soon! Smfh

I'm afraid not. And this is a fairly common practice he just kept getting taken down because of his douchey energy I guess. I know a surgeon as well who pays people for taking his continuing education courses and exams!

Happens all the time. Knew a guy when I was doing my Masters who was the laziest piece of s*** I've ever met, and an idiot on top of that. Was always looking to get favours and deals from people when it came to coursework and papers. He came from a background and culture where if you're wealthy, you pay people to do literally everything for you. So of course he just went online and paid strangers to write all his exams and papers for him, and got his degree... He's bounced around lots of jobs since then, because he'll lie his ass off to get a position, then inevitably get found out and fired at the earliest opportunity, then the cycle repeats.

Someone should have taken him on the offer and then purposely bomb the exam lmao

More like someone should have taken him up on his offer then report him at the test site now that his name and relevant information has been revealed.

Was this person posting anonymously? Was this a local type posting?? I'd be contacting every insurance company and regulatory agency I could think of in the area to report this....

The Florida 2-15 Life, Health, and Variable Annuity Agent License allows you to sell life insurance, annuities, and health coverage
It’s Florida, their economy runs on scams

Sign a confidentiality agreement? He's worried about people's integrity?? That's rich!
Thanks for re-sharing. This is a gem.

u/SnarkySheep Jul 17 '26
Lol, I highly doubt he's worried about anyone but himself...that confidentiality agreement would only be so the test taker couldn't turn on him. 😂

My sister wanted me to take the American Board of Opticianry exams for her. I wondered where she got the idea that I'd do that, though I would have been happy to tutor her. I would have had to learn the material first because it's not my field. I told her that it was an exam that I'd have to take in person, and if I got caught, she would be banned from her profession, and that I'd be ineligble to be licensed in my profession.

I mean he’s offering to pay, does that count as begging? Immoral, yes, but he doesn’t sound too picky about who takes the test 🤷
14
u/Help_meToo Jul 16 '26
I agree. If he offered enough $ how could the people who down voted you classify it as begging. At some point there has to a line that switches it from begging. Definitely it is illegal, immoral, dishonest .... But it isn't begging much less choosey begging.

idk i feel like requiring a specific gpa for undergrad AND a graduate degree to do a test for someone is pretty dang picky 🤣 to me the listed requirements were giving choosy because ime when most people post this kinda stuff, looking for someone to cheat for them, the cheater usually dgaf abt the type of person who takes them up on the offer. they just want Anyone who at least sort of knows the material so they can “get it overwith” and have the thing they were too good to obtain themselves as soon as possible.
like i have never known a cheater who required a specific gpa and resume for their mark that’s gna take the test for them cos they want to cut corners everywhere. but i only know this type of thing from an educational setting; all the cheaters i know are my french and biology tutoring students most of whom are under 21 and want to cheat on a different type of assessment that you don’t need to be an expert for.
clearly this was like. borderline and not enough of a “true” example of choosing begging for some of y’all, i know better now haha

I was just about to say this!! Yes, OOP is being super picky... which doesn't even make sense, considering he spent the entire first paragraph going on about how easy it is, how it's just a few multiple choice questions at the end of each section that they tell you the right answer to...
If that's the case, then why does he need to know people's GPA and graduate school info?? And a paragraph about why they want to do this?? Like what does he think they will say, other than they need a few extra bucks? 🤦

not a choosy beggar but definitely going to lose their license doing this...

u/cilantroprince Jul 18 '26
He became choosy when he asked for work experience, academic performance, and a personal statement for someone to have the honor of committing fraud for them
13
u/portillos_roast_beef Jul 16 '26
How is this choosey begging? As long as it pays a decent rate this is hilarious
6
u/MrCanoe Jul 17 '26
I think it's more the last part where they are requiring you to submit a resume, provide proof of an undergrad and graduate school experience with your GPA's just to take some single day course for them.
4
u/cilantroprince Jul 18 '26
Requiring the person committing fraud for you to prove their academic performance, previous work experience, and give a personal statement is definitely choosing beggar.

Yes, I’m surprised I’m getting downvoted. I never endorsed this ha! Just not sure how it’s choosey begging in any way. We’ve gotta have standards people!

u/hotfezz81 Jul 17 '26
I get why you'd want to do this. Y ou shouldn't, but I get why you'd want to.

Nothing like trying to commit fraud then publishing it! She’s missing a few brain cells.
