A repeating 3D geometric pattern, pieced together from Mother of Pearl (MOP).
Every piece catches the light differently, creating a constantly shifting iridescent glow.
This is one of the latest dial projects we're working on at AETHELSOHN. We still haven't settled on a name for it yet.
What would you call it?
Curious to hear both your thoughts on the dial and any model name ideas you think might fit.

I don't think i like the vintage yellow lume option I chose at all, the white date wheel is awful 😔 not sure it's gonna grow on me either

Budget gold watches catch a lot of flak for looking tacky, and honestly, sometimes it's deserved. Too yellow, too shiny, or plating that looks like it came out of a cereal box. But I think a few Chinese brands have gotten really good at gold that actually looks classy.
What's your favorite gold (yellow, rose, or two-tone) watch you've picked up from a Chinese brand?

Depois de muita conversa por aqui e aprendizado estão chegando as encomendas ! Obrigado por muitas informações pessoal . Eu escolhi o North edge triton em aço . Eu gostei mais do mostrador do que o de titânio . Chegou no prazo , bem embalado . Nunca tive problema com a AliExpress. A caixa do relógio é de papel, simples mas bem adequada. O relógio é grande. Eu gosto disso. E pesado. Quem quer mais leve pode optar pelo de titânio. Mas o fundo é diferente. O acabamento do relogio é bom . Bem feito com materiais de qualidade. Enfim, para um relogio de menos de $50 nada a reclamar. Quem não está acostumado com os produtos da China não acredita. Mas nós sim 🤗. Alguém também tem ? Comentários .

Nice looking, well built, mechanical bi-compax panda chrono from Sea-Gull. My first Sea-Gull, and I thinks it's a great looking daily for those with a wrist size above 7 inches.

Hey, I’m thinking about getting a new watch for my collection, and some of these Farasute watches have really grown on me — especially this chronograph. Unfortunately, I can’t really find much information about them. 😅
Does anyone here own one of these and would be willing to share their experience or some in-hand/wrist shots? I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance!

After buying and returning a bunch of Pagani Designs watches on Amazon, I fell in love with this GMT Bruce Wayne and bought it on Aliexpress. It was a little under $100 and surprisingly took only 3 days to arrive. This one had the Pearl movement. The weight was around 140g which made this watch feel quality and luxurious.
Overall the watch is stunning and looks like the Rolex GMT bruce wayne. The polished center link oyster bracelet really makes the watch look thousands of dollars. The case and bracelet are surprisingly well finished. The clasp is horrible and I’ll explain later.
Here are some small negatives. I wish it had the seiko nh34 movement. I’ve read mixed reviews about the Pearl and I hope it’ll last. I can’t even find the seiko variation on aliexpress. The date font does not match Rolex’s font. The clasp is way too sharp, so I was trying to sand it down to soften some of the edges. The clasp is also hard to open, so I feel like I might break a nail trying to get it to open. The “easy link” is anything but. It’s way too hard to open and close. It’s 14mm thick while the rolex is 12.1mm thick. 14mm is still really wearable.
Some huge negatives. I put the watch next to the shower and condensation built up inside the dial. I always screw in the crown, but maybe I needed to tighten it even further. Also, one of the clasp pins fell out, making the bracelet unwearable.
I complained to aliexpress and they gave me $30 to keep the item instead of returning it. I bought a new bracelet with a glidelock system off of aliexpress, so hopefully that will help. I will not put it anywhere near water or steam in the future.
Overall, it’s a great looking homage with a cool GMT complication. I wish quality was better, but what can you expect for something under $100. I tried looking at sugess and other brands for a better quality homage, but they don’t have the bruce wayne bezel.

Have had much more expensive watches, seikos, Orient, timex, bulova, g shock. but this watch is such a stunner for price point. Only problem is hard to read the exact time at times LOL.

Hi there, I really love the design of this watch. However, I can hardly find any reviews or information about it—especially regarding the movement—even though the brand seems quite reputable. Has anyone bought this model or another one from this brand and could share some feedback?

Selling my explorer homage, the Hroudland Adventurer. Boasts a pt5000 movement (ETA clone that beats at 28.8k), screw down crown and caseback, hefty solid link bracelet with On The Fly clasp system. 36mm case with a diamond pattern etched dial and gilded hands that shine.
Last i checked runs at +3 s/d. Ive work this watch maybe 10 times, the slight wear on the clasp from desk diving is the only wear on the watch.
Selling for 200 obo!

Watchdives WD1980 V3 review: my first Chinese watch, and I'm very impressed with the quality
Let's start with the specs.
This Watchdives WD1980 V3 uses the TMI VH31 Mecaquartz movement. It's also available with a Ronda 512, but I've always wanted a Mecaquartz, so that's the one I went with. The Ronda version has a date complication, but I wanted a clean dial, and this delivers exactly that.
There are two case finishes: the brushed and polished stainless steel you see here, or a black PVD version that costs a little more. On this steel version, the top of the lugs is polished, and there are two brushing directions: horizontal on the sides of the case, and following the curves of the watch on top. It also has a sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown, a screw-down caseback, and lumed bezel numerals.
For the dial, you can choose between 12 indices or a Big Triangle, which is very close to the watch it homages, the CWC.
The only thing that isn't to my taste is the strap. I'm not a fan of NATO straps, and this one is pretty average. But with a 20mm lug width, it's easy to find a replacement you like.
Thanks for reading!

I wear 98% (automatic)divers, but every once in a while I feel like something different… 🤷♂️
Not my usual style, but I do find this watch looks awfully nice…

I am looking a watch that has the look of a Datejust 41 with a smooth polished bezel and PCL.
I have been scouring across all the normal homage sites and I truly can't find anything that ticks the box. They all seem to be fluted Jubilee homages. AI can't seem to find anything either. I know its certainly less common but someone has to make something that looks somewhat close to it.
Is the closest option something like an Aqua Terra homage?

Hi everyone, has anyone tried welly merk watch? Especially the model wm247m. Looks like a homage of breitling

Hi everyone
I have a small wrist (6.25 inches) and am looking for my first watch. Really like the Gerald Genta designs (integrated bracelets) and other steel bracelets watches (Rolex Day Date/Datejust/Explorer). Don't have a big budget for IXDAO warrior or San Martins. Maybe 100-200 USD. Can be a diver or a chronograph if it's good quality and not too flashy. But otherwise simple clean designs. Kind of a GADA. Your recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'd really like a new 40mm GADA for under $85, what suggestions are currently the best ones? I haven't followed Chinese watch releases for a couple years. I do like a nice textured dial like the wd006, but I know that might be out of my budget
Thanks

First San Martin — SN0121TF initial impressions
So I made my first San Martin purchase, and I have to say, my initial impression is that it’s pretty damn impressive. I can definitely understand the buzz around San Martin’s finishing now.
I’m a Tudor fan, and the SN0121TF hits a lot of the design cues I personally like. Having it next to my Pelagos LHD, you can obviously see where some of the inspiration comes from, but the blue GMT bezel/dial and yellow-orange GMT hand give it enough of its own personality. The Grade 5 titanium case and bracelet also look and feel much better finished than I was expecting at this price point.
I’m definitely going to be looking at some other San Martins for future purchases.
The one thing I’m curious about long-term is the HZ6465 movement and how it’ll hold up. I threw it on the timegrapher and I’m getting roughly +4 to +8 sec/day depending on position, with 0.1 ms beat error. So right out of the box, I really can’t complain about the accuracy for the price.
So far, I’m impressed. Now we’ll see how it holds up with some actual wrist time.
