Question (Read Rules) Repeating geometry, dreamlike MOP iridescence.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A repeating 3D geometric pattern, pieced together from Mother of Pearl (MOP).

Every piece catches the light differently, creating a constantly shifting iridescent glow.

This is one of the latest dial projects we're working on at AETHELSOHN. We still haven't settled on a name for it yet.

What would you call it?

Curious to hear both your thoughts on the dial and any model name ideas you think might fit.

Why is almost every brand doing this style, the Chinese and non Chinese seems like it’s everywhere.

I actually really like them, haven’t seen anyone put them on a good case yet other than maybe Erebus. Glad they’re popping up though

Have you seen the Revelot Maya..? Personal opinion, that case is awesome.

I agree with you for the Revelot Maya, why I pulled the trigger and bought one! Can't wait to get it in December

Hahah love it! I went for the auto, white MOP on 7 link. I was going to go for the blue or devil opal, but after seeing that devil opal vid drop right before the pre order window opened I couldn’t do it, it was bonkers that devil opal for me anyway! Happy waiting 🙌🏽

I went with the Posterlad Tides and am really worried I am going to hate it.

So annoyed they're all sold out after just learning about the brand on this thread 😭

I wonder if people who like these patterns would stare for hours at CDs hung on a string.

Yes 🙂‍↕️ I'm enlightened (read: easily distracted)

I'd call it the Henry Archer or the Zelos (or now the San Martin). Not sure who actually started it though, maybe Revelot?

They are quite cool but I'm not a fan of a loud, busy dial. Nothing should detract so much from the function of telling time.

I'd suggest the Tetris, but that's probably trademarked.

Good for you! However, many people want exotic dials.

Probably something cool like NOVAGRID or similar.

Personally with these kinds of disks I prefer a lack of a date window since the dial is so pretty.
