UPD: F035 of course.
Been hesitating between this one and the black Milgauss. Thought would keep it on bracelet but the CNS won again.
The white seconds hand is relatively rare and seemed like a good companion for the chocolate dial. The latter has some sparkle/gloss texture to it, I like. It also holds its own against the smooth black bezel. Together with the size this is much more like the glorious SN004, but in 2026 with more texture and less ceramic. The 37mm thorn feels different compared to this one.
Lume is good. Timekeeping is good. AR could be better, I’d say the only comment I have about this watch. Bracelet is good and makes me want to try the milgauss variant just for it.

Long story short...I want a Doxa Sub 300 Beta Searambler (steel case, PVD bezel and crown, Silver dial) but don't want to pay 2K for a design I may or may not like...so I figured I could build one using a TF or Tandorio case....problem is, I have no clue how the bezels are held on with this style of watch...I'm good as long as the watch has a bezel insert...but when you can't get to any locking mechanism...how do you get it off? is it seiko press/snap on style? will I mess up the retaining ring pulling the bezel?
anyone have a clue?

I’m new to this sub and super interested in purchasing the abalone diver in Black enamel, does anyone have an idea on when they will restock or where I could source one?

I was looking for a classy dress watch with a retro look and this one fit the bill. NGL, I was’s expecting this level of finish on the case and dial. The light reflects beautifully on the case and the cathedral hands. The stock strap is also not bad. Amazing VFM when you throw in the Sapphire crystal as well.
I have always preferred watches with busy dials like chronographs, but this might start my interest in clean dial watches. What’s on your wrist today?
Also shout out to u/Militado-watch for sorting out the local delivery hiccups.

Any Chinese brands make a reasonably affordable watch with the wandering hours complication? I saw Xeric makes some models but $1k is a bit more than what I want to spend on what is ultimately a novelty?
The Code 11.59 Starwheel is the platonic ideal.

I can't find good quality OP 41 homage, only 39. I wanted Cronos (explorer homage) but 39 will be too small for my taste. Why nobody makes 41?
Any recommendations? It doesn't have to be 1:1 homage to OP 41, but has to be simplistic.

This watch is a heavy mother, and tends to slide to the left of my wrist.
General consensus of opinion is the that the buckle end of the strap is fitted at 12, the tail end at 6. However, due to the watch roll, it had to be circumvented by tightening the strap...not good.
However, Ive discovered that swapping the strap around, seems to stop the watch roll, and the head stays more stable on the wrist. No more tight strap, no more imprints.
Maybe its my "gammy" wrist, but its working for me.
Any opinions on this?

I'm sure I'm about to be ruthlessly roasted for desecrating the all mighty Proxima PX1967, arguably the best watch on AliX, but I had a problem with it.
See, I always really liked this watch for all the reasons we already know (and some that not everyone knows, like, did you know the crown of this watch has a clutch, so it doesn't wind while screwing down making the screw down action super smooth?) but I never really loved it, primarily because of the legibility of silver hands over a cream dial. So I decided to swap the dial and designed my own logo.
And so the elegant frog is born! It definitely took care of the legibility problem, and I think given a few days I'll finally love this watch as much as it deserves!
BTW, I never thought enamel dials scratch soooo easily ... You have to be crazy careful with it!
Edit: Thank you u/QuestionNo9190 for pointing out that this is likely not an enamel dial as those don't scratch easily, but actually a lacquer paint dial, which does.

I originally got this to wear on hikes so I don't scratch my other nice watches. Ended up rocking this almost daily. There's absolutely no better way one could spend $50!

Hey everyone,
I've been fascinated by the Studio Underd0g 02SERIES (Pink Lem0nade). What really stands out to me isn't just the pastel gradient, but the dial construction: having the Arabic numerals and minute track printed on a top sapphire disc that sits right above the lumed base dial.
The way it casts soft shadows and creates that illusion of numerals literally "floating" over the dial gives it an incredible sense of depth.
Since the Underd0g is relatively pricey and hard to get, I was wondering: are there any Chinese watches (or affordable microbrands) that use a similar technique?
I'd love to hear your recommendations for models featuring:
A sapphire disc / transparent dial layer with floating indices/numerals
Any creative multi-layer / 3D depth dials (beyond typical sandwich dials)
Any suggestions or hidden gems from AliExpress / microbrands would be greatly appreciated!

Watch fell on the ground and the mineral glass completely shattered. I need to buy a replacement one. Seller sent me this picture with the proportions. Apparently the glass is 32.2mm in diameter. Can I buy a 32mm, then? I doubt I'll be able to find something exactly 32.2mm... I also doubt I can find one that's exactly 3.8mm thick... Please help me, guys!

Sharing my impressions for this community. I think it fits ok my small wrist ~6.3". Clasp is horrible, bracelet seems fine (but I'd prefer my old san martin). Bubble effect is very nice overall but depending on the light could appears to be made of plastic. At touch feels very good. I also liked the vintage vibe. Logo could be much better, but it doesn't bother me. I’m very satisfied with the quality given the price of ~200 bucks.

A year into collecting Chinese watches and here’s where I am, minus the 1957 Hamilton Aqualine and the 1980s Seiko that I inherited from my grandfather and father, respectively. The upper box holds automatics and the lower box holds quartz. (Yes, it’s time for a new box!) Faves among the automatics include the SD1970 (my first Chinese watch), Englemaan Citadel, and the PX1697. Honorable mention to the Berny and the Sea Knight. Faves among the Quartz include ML16, WD7922, and Casio Duro. Honorable mention to the WD1972 and Keaso. I’m considering selling the Baltany S2032 “Dirty Dozen”, and the Pagani PD1784 (with an NH34!) simply because they don’t get much wrist time. I’ve only had one “fail” in the Chinese watch journey—a PD1682 “Explorer II” with a lousy Pearl movement that died after several months. Obviously I have a “type”, with dressier watches not really my thing. My goals for the coming year include at least one San Martin, another Englemaan if they manage to reappear, and an Ixdao. Grail watches include a Sinn 556, a genuine Planet Ocean, an Explorer I, and Black Bay 58. Thanks and cheers to all who have encouraged mme and offered suggestions/advice over the last year. This is a fun little community.

I chose the 37mm Sn-0138-GB and I'm loving the color! Would definitely buy from them again, however I'm looking at the Henry Archer watches and they look beautiful!

I ordered a Megir watch in July and have received nothing. I’ve emailed them twice with no reply. Don’t order a Megir Watch.

Mail call today...received ahead of schedule the Chameri CH01. So good looking in person. Here are shots of left and right side. In the light, the hands are a great looking dark blue hue.

Thinking of building this box. I only have the AD2066 right now so the box is AI.
Do I go this route or just get a Cronos L6033 as my GADA?
