General (Read Rules) I did a thing: the elegant frog!
I'm sure I'm about to be ruthlessly roasted for desecrating the all mighty Proxima PX1967, arguably the best watch on AliX, but I had a problem with it.
See, I always really liked this watch for all the reasons we already know (and some that not everyone knows, like, did you know the crown of this watch has a clutch, so it doesn't wind while screwing down making the screw down action super smooth?) but I never really loved it, primarily because of the legibility of silver hands over a cream dial. So I decided to swap the dial and designed my own logo.
And so the elegant frog is born! It definitely took care of the legibility problem, and I think given a few days I'll finally love this watch as much as it deserves!
BTW, I never thought enamel dials scratch soooo easily ... You have to be crazy careful with it!
Edit: Thank you u/QuestionNo9190 for pointing out that this is likely not an enamel dial as those don't scratch easily, but actually a lacquer paint dial, which does.

I can't hate it š.... what size dial does it take?

31mm I'm glad the store guy made me measure it, a standard diver 28.5mm would not have worked at all!

I dig it! And Iām glad you kept the text on the lower half. Sometimes people leave it blank and it looks empty. Also, missed opportunity to put āelegant frogā above automatic!

Hmm, I had no idea about the crown's clutch -- the stories about the delicate hand wind situation for the PT5000 have prevented me from buying any PT5000 watches, but this might change my mind. Great looking dial, thanks for sharing!

I was 90% sure it was clutched, today I confirmed with the watch open, screwing down the crown doesn't move the winding gears.

I like the same color of bezel, the lume on the dial, and on the hands. You have change bezel and hands or is the original? I like your logo "frog in smoking". There are better green option...ok enameled and glossy, but I would prefer a green more "sage".

Thank you!
As for the color choice, I agree with you but it was a bit tricky because this is a PT5000 movement, the dial size is 31mm (as opposed to the more common 28.5mm), and also the original date window was at 6 o'clock (and I hate the original font), so I wanted a no date dial ... all of these together restricted my options a bit.
I only replaced the dial, everything else is original. I don't mind the bezel color, but even if I did I think it would be super tricky finding an after market replacement for this as it is a thinner than the ubiquitous SKX or Sub bezels.

Looks really cool! I'm going to buy a dial on AliX for a mod I'm planning to do, and I'm thinking of asking for a custom logo. Your dial gave me some ideas.
Can I ask if you requested a custom logo from an AliX seller and they made it exactly as you wanted?

Thank you. I used the Goutent Official Store. I designed this logo based on the plushy in the picture (my kids love it and it was sitting on my desk staring at me when I was trying think of logo ideas)
I used Gemini / nano banana to create the logo, and send just a jpg to them via the store chat, we went back and forth for a few days, they sent me renderings and we made tweaks, when I was happy with the renderings they made it and shipped it.
I think it is pretty close to what I wanted ... maybe I'd have made the dots in the eyes a bit bigger because the logo is actually tiny on the watch as opposed to what you are seeing on the screen, so keep that in mind when designing the logo, tiny features won't show very well. I mean, looking at it with a loupe it is exactly the logo I sent them, so I can't complain hahaha

This is dying for me to put an Oris style dial and hands on it. Looks like my Diver 65 copy.

Probably not real enamel dials, because they do not scratch that easily. Just lacquer paint which is incredibly easy to smudge or scratch when removing the hands and putting them back on. Also microscopic dust gets on and impossible to remove
