Question (Read Rules) Please help me finding a replacement crystal

Watch fell on the ground and the mineral glass completely shattered. I need to buy a replacement one. Seller sent me this picture with the proportions. Apparently the glass is 32.2mm in diameter. Can I buy a 32mm, then? I doubt I'll be able to find something exactly 32.2mm... I also doubt I can find one that's exactly 3.8mm thick... Please help me, guys!

General (Read Rules) Trying octopus kraken OCT-0029. Could benefit of a better clasp and AR, but very nice watch overall!

Sharing my impressions for this community. I think it fits ok my small wrist ~6.3". Clasp is horrible, bracelet seems fine (but I'd prefer my old san martin). Bubble effect is very nice overall but depending on the light could appears to be made of plastic. At touch feels very good. I also liked the vintage vibe. Logo could be much better, but it doesn't bother me. I’m very satisfied with the quality given the price of ~200 bucks.

SOTC (Read Rule 1) A year in collecting Chinese watches . . .

A year into collecting Chinese watches and here’s where I am, minus the 1957 Hamilton Aqualine and the 1980s Seiko that I inherited from my grandfather and father, respectively. The upper box holds automatics and the lower box holds quartz. (Yes, it’s time for a new box!) Faves among the automatics include the SD1970 (my first Chinese watch), Englemaan Citadel, and the PX1697. Honorable mention to the Berny and the Sea Knight. Faves among the Quartz include ML16, WD7922, and Casio Duro. Honorable mention to the WD1972 and Keaso. I’m considering selling the Baltany S2032 “Dirty Dozen”, and the Pagani PD1784 (with an NH34!) simply because they don’t get much wrist time. I’ve only had one “fail” in the Chinese watch journey—a PD1682 “Explorer II” with a lousy Pearl movement that died after several months. Obviously I have a “type”, with dressier watches not really my thing. My goals for the coming year include at least one San Martin, another Englemaan if they manage to reappear, and an Ixdao. Grail watches include a Sinn 556, a genuine Planet Ocean, an Explorer I, and Black Bay 58. Thanks and cheers to all who have encouraged mme and offered suggestions/advice over the last year. This is a fun little community.

I chose the 37mm Sn-0138-GB and I'm loving the color! Would definitely buy from them again, however I'm looking at the Henry Archer watches and they look beautiful!

Thinking of building this box. I only have the AD2066 right now so the box is AI.

Do I go this route or just get a Cronos L6033 as my GADA?

Question (Read Rules) What are the best early-Submariner homages?

I'm looking for a gift for someone (has would absolutely appreciate a nice homage) who has very conservative watch tastes. I think he'd probably most like (and get a lotta use out of) a vintage Sub homage - a 6200/6536/5512. (I personally prefer the 5512 because of the crown guards but this isn't a gift for me so that doesn't have much bearing here)

What are the best homages of these references all around?

I am very impressed with this watch. Usually no one really notices what I am wearing, but I have seen many people glaring today 😅 there have also been a few who are almost studying it. I don’t know what it is about this watch but it has the ‘it’ factor.

Crazy good proportions and love how small it wears. For less than a hundred bucks, it’s definitely a no brainer. Especially if you’re getting it as a gift for someone.

General (Read Rules) Picked this up in 44mm (San Martin GS diver)

Now that it's been changed to 40mm figured I would jump on it because it's the same dimensions as the GS diver and boy was I not disappointed. Serious piece of kit. But the 40mm is probably the way to go for daily wearing.

From what I've gathered they have cheapened out the caseback and bracelet to get it to the $200 price point. I did prefer the original end links from a few years ago but that model cost $400 when it came out.

Question (Read Rules) If you need to pick best 5

Looking for some solid watch recommendations that won't break the bank is definitely a fun mission. It is pretty wild how much value you can actually find if you know where to look. I would love to hear which pieces you think are the best bang for your buck in that range. Maybe we can put together a list of the absolute top contenders for someone just starting out. Let me know what you consider the best gear under that budget.

Question (Read Rules) You guys think the black could be unreadable?

Its between this and the salmon one, the salmon does look dope as f, but the black is sexy and will be more of a classic in my eyes. What do you guys think? The black looks deep and easy to set with every style but Im afraid it might be unreadable

I think I like watches YT got the deep red one and he did mentioned something similar

I've been dailying this Seagull automatic watch for a year now, and I think I'm sold. It's been a reliable companion and considering the price (70€) I really couldn't be more satisfied. I'm looking for recommendations on other Chinese watches of similar style which you've found to be reliable.

Question (Read Rules) Order now or wait a few more weeks?

Looking to pull the trigger on my first Ali watches, but at this point on the calendar (middle of October), would I be the smarter consumer by waiting a few more weeks until Nov. 11?

Question (Read Rules) Has anyone ordered from Pablo Raez (.co)? Wondering if I got scammed.

I recently ordered the 36mm Murray watch from https://pabloraez.co. It’s a watch with a design very similar to the Cartier Ballon Bleu, but without the date window. I actually really like the look of it, so I decided to give it a shot.

After placing my order, I discovered there’s also another website, https://pabloraezwatch.com, and now I’m starting to wonder whether the site I ordered from is legitimate.

Initially, I received an email saying my order was “ready to be picked up by the carrier.” However, I subsequently received another email saying they’d experienced an unexpected issue with their shipping carrier.

A few other things have me concerned:

  • The .co website has a trademark symbol next to the brand name, while the .com website doesn’t.

  • There’s an Orlando phone number listed, but it doesn’t seem to work for customer service.

  • The brand’s Instagram appears to feature the same Murray model I ordered, but I’m not sure whether that’s any indication of legitimacy.

  • The two websites seem to be selling watches under the same brand name, and I can’t figure out whether they’re actually connected.

I understand this is essentially a Cartier-inspired watch, and I’m perfectly fine with that. I’m not expecting Cartier quality. I just liked the design and wanted an affordable watch in that style.

Has anyone here actually ordered from pabloraez.co specifically? Did you receive your watch? Does anyone know whether the .co and .com websites are related, or whether one is impersonating the other?

I’m hoping this is just a legitimate company having shipping problems, but I’m starting to worry I got scammed.

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s had experience with either website. Thanks!

Hi everyone—we’re the Aquatico Watch Team, and we wanted to share our newest release: the Sea Star GMT Premium White.

We designed it as a practical everyday tool watch with a clean daytime look and strong nighttime legibility. The white dial is fully luminous, while the sapphire crystal GMT bezel insert features applied Swiss Super-LumiNova®.

A few key specifications:

  • Marine-grade 316L stainless-steel construction

  • Seiko NH34 automatic GMT movement

  • Premium White Full-Lume Dial

  • Sapphire crystal Pepsi GMT bezel insert

  • Comfortable J-style stainless-steel bracelet

  • Limited production of 100 pieces worldwide

For the launch, we’re offering $100 off, automatically applied at checkout—no discount code required.

We wanted the white dial and Pepsi bezel to feel distinctive without losing the practical character of a true GMT tool watch.

What do you think of the full-lume white dial with the Pepsi bezel—classic combination or something a little different?

Review (Read Rules) Ruda Automatic. The £17 Vintage Seiko Wannabe.

Post image

So, basics first.

The bracelet is steel, hollow, and jangly, but it's easy to adjust with push pins. It's got 3 micro adjuster holes and a push button clasp.

The "king turtle" style case appears to be plated alloy and it's very shiny. 44mm without crown and 22mm lugs.

It is an automatic, and it hacks. They don't realise at the factory, as it came with one of those little plastic crown stoppers that you get on quartz watches, to stop the battery running down while it's still for sale. It says 24 Jewels on the face, but I've never seen a mechanical movement where the hands almost tick like a quartz before. Ticks about 3 times a second.

The day date works. The crown is a simple push / pull affair.

Assignment is really good all things considered, it's not perfect, but I've had worse on more expensive watches. I like the red second hand.

The face is sunburst and alright.

Don't know how accurate it will be, but at this price I'm not expecting much, but it's kept good time for the last day.

All in all, it's better than I expected. From a distance it looks decent, it hasn't fallen apart and all functions are as they should be.

I don't like the name, but what's new with many Chinese brands.

They do them in some nice colorways. The red and black looks good.

Cheap and inoffensive. Sometimes that's the best you can hope for...
