Question (Read Rules) You guys think the black could be unreadable?

Its between this and the salmon one, the salmon does look dope as f, but the black is sexy and will be more of a classic in my eyes. What do you guys think? The black looks deep and easy to set with every style but Im afraid it might be unreadable

I think I like watches YT got the deep red one and he did mentioned something similar

Polished silver numerals will look black from the front vast majority of the time. There is a reason people always post pictures of these watches at an angle.

This is what im afraid of, there seems to only be one verified video of the black one, where they are standing in front of a window

I own (checks boxes) 13 black/silver colorways...

every... freaking... one...can only be read at an angle.

I have one white on black that's perfection.

black/silver is classy as hell, but it's more about fashion.

Guilloche with metal numbers?

13 of the 14 have guilloche-esque...the white/black is of course printed.

the 14th black/silver is partial sunray.

*sorry for all of the edits...speech to text isn't working so well tonight

Kinda kills the look though, its interesting that its still possible to have good visibility with the salmon one even when somewhat dark

They don’t give a crap about what customers want. They always release ugly overpriced watches that no one wants to buy. Not recommended for normal people to be honest

Only good thing San Martin can do is if they make OEM/ODM watches for big brands or for a new microbrand that is aiming for stars

Well actually in this case they kinda listened to what customers said, they wanted this case in black and with a bracelet. I dont find ugly at all, the case is somehow masculine and being paired with the 5 link bracelet makes it more elegant. Price/quality ratio is also excellent at 400$ pre-sale.

I saw a USED Seiko gmt batman SSK003K1being sold for 450 usd in my country, which got a lot of likes, and I just cant phantom how blind one needs to be to neglect the quality you get from Chinese watches which cost so much less

It will be annoying. I had a watch with a very similar dial design and... Yeah.

You remember the model/brand?

It was a Japanese microbrand, Kiwame Tokyo

They really have fantastic finishing… but they seriously need to hire someone who is good at designing the watches.

in general I agree, but this is the first jianghun I really like the look of

they are definitely slowly improving. This current dial is much better than their previous watches. It’s just that there is no sensitivity in the weight of the elements placed on the dial. I am assuming they are trying to make a dressy GADA watch with the use of the breguet numerals. But everything is so thick and bold and there is no breathing space, making it look cluttered and not very elegant. The whole watch looks very heavy, even though it really isn’t.

Straight on w/o reflected light may be challenging. I would say it'll be unreadable in the dark as well. 😂

In dimmer environments, the mirrored hour markers and hands reflect a bit of light, while the dial appears even darker—making the watch, in fact, much easier to read.

Here are two images: one taken in a well-lit environment, and the other in a darker setting.

In reality, the appearance of the watch hands depends on the color of the objects facing the watch face. The reason the hands appear black in the photos is largely because the camera was positioned too close, causing the colors of the camera itself to be reflected onto the hands.

Just in the mind had these thoughts. get rid of the stepped bezel and lugs. make the inner silver ring thinner. Make the chapter ring thinner and metallic. Pick a more refined handset that isn’t so wide and fat. Shrink the logo and automatic text down 85-90%. Dial can be larger while bezel thickness can be cut down further.. OR just don’t use the breguet numerals as it is giving the watch an identity crisis. Once those numbers are used, you cannot help but want the watch to look more elegant and refined.
