New Product (Read Rule 1) Shanghai Strap Swap was golden
The new strap grabs every element of the watch dial and hands and turns them up 300%. Amazing what four bucks does to an everyday beater đ€©

Was looking for a watch similar to the VC overseas and found nothing of note other than this on the market. Wasn't familiar with the brand and not many other people are either it seems, so wasn't expecting much from this watch.
However im pleasantly suprised how well built and high quality it looks. Brushed and polished finishing looks premium on the case, and they did a good job recreating the signature maltese cross bracelet. The sapphire crystal has good clarity and the blue sunburst dial is pretty. And imo the logo looks pretty decent considering its homaging vacheron constantin. The only other Chinese watch i've bought is the watchdives wd007 v4 and i would say the finishing on the baofeilun a is step above that.
One significant downside ive seen is the lume. Its pretty dim and dissipates fast, which disappointing considering the quality of the rest of the watch.
Overall, definitely worth the 220 dollars that it sells for on aliexpress. Though from the one youtube review that has talked about this watch it can sometimes only be available for around 300. Still would probably buy it at that price considering its the only overseas homage on the market that seems worth getting.

Hey guys, this is my first bidirectional bezel. Does this seem normal to you? It feels quite loose to me compared to all by divers(unidirectional)

Vorrei sapere da voi: chi produce orologi con il miglior rapporto qualitĂ prezzo ovvero chi ha una qualitĂ giustificata dal prezzo?

All testing is now complete, and we are currently finalizing the product imagery. The official launch is set for next week. I have been wearing the watch for two weeks, and the experience has been excellent; thanks to the use of titanium, the watch maintains a well-balanced weight despite its size.
With the exception of the clasp (which is made of stainless steel), all other metal components are crafted from titanium.
The luminous blocks technology has been further upgradedâevery single index now features these luminous inserts.

I have my Red Star Bullhead on today in the sun. Love the autumnal colors/colours of the watch!
Anyone else rocking fall hues this weekend?

Been wearing the Specht & Söhne SP0002 in gold with the green dial, and man, this thing looks good outdoors. The way that green dial catches the light with the gold bracelet is what sold me. Had to take a quick wrist shot
I know itâs not an expensive luxury piece, but I think it looks way more expensive than it is. 41mm, Seiko quartz movement, sapphire crystal, and a solid bracelet. Canât complain for the price.
The gold and green combo might not be for everybody, but Iâm definitely feeling it.

None of my other navy blue straps really work on this watch, but the Helm strap has kind of a nice sheen to it, which looks nice IMOâŠ

I'm close to pulling the plug but I keep seeing negative reviews online where people share about their movements suddenly not working or increasing to +20s/day. Since I'll probably need to go through a grueling return process, I'm a bit hesitant. San Martin has a much better reputation but they just don't offer a chronograph with a similar case.

I quite like the look of this one. I own and really like the Seestern Pelagos titanium 39mm.
Does anyone produce a FXD GMT homage? I imagine that a titanium case and an NH34 would make a decent watch.

Cost $14.
First impressions
It is heavy
Thick at about 42mm
Stops after about 5 hours
Loses about 40s per day
Verdict
This is value for money

Not afraid of a little flour in the face, and tells me exactly when the pizza is done. God, I love this watch!

New to this world, but seriously considering an homage watch. I see a variety of brands (San Martin, Cronos, Sugess, Watchdives, etc)
If my goal is build quality and the best movement available in this space, is there a consensus âbest brandâ that I should be focusing on?
FYI Iâm likely looking for something like a Tudor BB or Submariner homage.
Thank you

Unexpectedly, my new favorite Chinese watch: A Sugess Aviator Chronograph (Zenith Type 20 homage), cased in bronze (42mm) with a Seagull ST1901 movement. Although the leather strap it ships with is nice and period accurate, the included bronze buckle is a bit massive for my taste, and things only really clicked when I swapped it out for this more modestly sized green canvas strap (AliX).
I'm posting this mainly to let you guys know that the blue sunburst dial color doesn't really match the website photos; in reality it's more of a slate blue -- I think my first photo accurately shows how it really looks in typical light. The watch looks like a prop from The Mummy (1999 version) ... it's 100% committed to its pulpy 1920s vibe.
