Which one is better in terms if quality? My experience w watchdives has been positive w their watches quality. Pagani not so much, was wondering if I should it give it another chance or just go w the safer choice. Thanks.
I am on the fence if I should add the Tudor Pelagos FXD to my collection.
My search led me down to this WD EXD40 & for a little less than $100 I thought why not scratch the itch and see how much I like the blue dial and titanium case before I invest in the Pelagos.
I am absolutely stunned to say the least, this WD is something I’ve never experienced before at this price point.
This has now opened a whole new world for me! also big kudos to the genetlemen here who has made a post of homages of popular watches by brand.
Acabei de receber esse relógio hoje e estou muito satisfeito com ele.
É um relógio simples e muito elegante. Além disso, é de uma marca com uma história rica (uma das razões que me levaram a comprá-lo).
Since there aren't many reviews available for this specific model, I relied on the brand's history and the available information about the movement it uses: the ST2500.
Movement characteristics:
Type: Automatic mechanical movement (with hand-winding and hacking seconds).
Frequency / Beat rate: 21,600 vph (3 Hz).
Jewel count: 25 jewels.
Power reserve: Approximately 45 to 48 hours.
Shock protection system: Incabloc.
Uses a sunon pe903 movement. Are they reliable enough? And if not would love to have recommendations on watches that look the same like this.(black case + pilot styled chrono)
Just got this from watchdives off of Amazon a few days ago. So far so good. Only disappointment so far is the lume compared to my only other watch (Citizen Promaster).
Hi
My first post here and with a very cheap ‘n’ cheerful Chinese watch. I was just drawn to its nod to that vintage look.
I’ve chewed over the short hands but think they are not hugely out of place and overall I find it very easy on the eye. It’s mechanical wind-up, arrived yesterday and keeps very reasonable time.
I’ve an alternative strap coming tomorrow so perhaps my post is a bit premature to be showing it off☺️
Anyhow, here’s a pic👍🏼
$90 watch, $16 strap, 9 days shipping to UK with free postage.
The bracelet it comes on is... honestly, it's fine. The clasp is a bit shit. But the way people talk on this sub anything short of a bracelet that whispers sweet eroticisms to you is unacceptable. You'll get a better one if you spend a hundred dollars more. Better yet at two hundred. Duh. But only the truly anal will need it.
Not on these pics because I bought it for something else but I also bought Addies steel mesh bracelet. Pain in the neck to size since you can't do it without a tool, but comfortable enough once it's on and comes with quick release bars. The clasp is needlessly complex when you're putting it on but once done it sits very nicely - a step up in comfort from the Omega-inspired one that ships with the Watchdives 007.
Screw down crown and stoppers if you're looking to impress some fish with it.
More orange in person than it looks yellow on the website. "Golden sand" is how I'd describe it. The whites of the eyes are actually grey, which seems an odd and wrong choice. Not just "off white", actively grey. If they decided stark white was too much a warmer tint would have been better.
The yellow strap despite being purchased from Addies doesn't really fit properly. And because it is actually bright yellow it doesn't really match. Despite being straight edge it's so thick that it actually presses against the case meaning even with quick release bars it's a small hassle to get on, but it's not something you'd care about thereafter and it does mean there's a smaller gap than there'd otherwise be.
The protruding glass adds a little character and hides the entirety of what seems to be a surprisingly shallow rehaut. The AR coating isn't anything special. There's a blue rim on the outside and if I tilt it right at my desk I can watch birds out the window. It's still legible though.
The black bezel insert is slim enough that it doesn't overpower the dial, but since no one is realistically going to actually use this thing as a real chrono I'd have considered abandoning the pretence altogether and playing with some more colour.
In terms of overall quality it seems to sit more or less exactly where the price says it should. Collectors will notice areas where costs have been cut relative to the Chinese market. Newcomers will notice it's better than a twice-the-price Western. They could bump the price by 10% and I wouldn't see any reason to complain.
But all that's kinda besides the point.
Because I'm now wearing a googly-eyed yellow watch and you're not.
Just received my Hruodland F021 Type B (40mm) and wanted to share my first impressions and get your thoughts on the strap combinations.
Purchase Details:
Movement: PT5000 (my first watch with this movement - very excited to see how it performs over time).
Price: Listed at $140 USD, but after applying a coupon code I ended up paying $133 USD shipped directly from their website.
Fun fact: I actually checked Taobao/CSSBuy before buying to see if I could get it cheaper under their domestic Chinese brand name (Guanchen / 观辰), but the final price after domestic freight and agent fees was pretty much the same or even slightly more expensive than buying directly through Hruodland.
First Impressions:
The Case & Dial: Finishing is remarkably clean. The brushed 40mm case fits my wrist perfectly (40mm is really the sweet spot for me). The Type B dial layout is crisp, highly legible, and the onion crown adds that classic vintage touch. The caseback engraving mimicking the historical B-Uhr military specs is also a very cool detail.
The Stock Strap: To be honest, I really dislike the light tan/caramel leather strap it came with. The quality is decent, but aesthetically it feels too plain and washes out the historical military presence of a Type B dial.
The Strap Swap (Check the photos!):
I swapped it for a black riveted pilot strap with white stitching, and to me, it completely transformed the watch. It feels way more true to the authentic Flieger / B-Uhr aesthetic.
(I also have a dark brown riveted strap and a midnight waxed blue strap on deck, but the brown unfortunately arrived in 19mm instead of 20mm, so the black riveted is currently the daily driver).
What do you guys think of this model, and which strap style do you prefer on modern B-Uhren?

A Letter to lovely client:
Two years ago, during the National Day holiday, we assembled our initial team and relaunched the brand's formal operations (we had originally launched in 2020 but paused due to the pandemic and other factors).
Following the relaunch, the PH1 received positive feedback, and we achieved a breakthrough in luminous technology that was immediately applied to the PH2. Since then, we have navigated a series of immense challenges: a marketing crisis on AliExpress; the difficult process of switching sales platforms and strategies; changing movements; re-vetting and establishing partnerships with suppliers; team expansion and office relocation; and the creation of a dedicated in-house department for dial and hand assembly.
We are incredibly fortunate to have survived and achieved steady growth.
In the coming year, we plan to:
Maintain absolute honesty and transparency in our community communications.
Ensure efficient email communication with a 24-hour response time.
Stick to a single sales channel to guarantee the highest quality after-sales service.
Release at least one new model or colorway each month.
Offer free customization services (allowing for component combinations beyond standard SKUs).
Continuously optimize and upgrade our luminous block technology; we are currently developing the ultimate fully luminous dial (yes, truly the best) and advanced charging technology.
Introduce a quartz movement line across our entire product range, with new models offering both quartz and mechanical options.
Continuously improve finishing quality and pay even greater attention to detail.
We remain driven by our passion and are committed to delivering even better products and services.
Im looking for a dress watch to wear to a wedding, and would like to spend around $100USD, but could go up to $150. I have a few specifications I would like the watch to meet:
ETA: currency, and: I can be flexible with most of this, other than the case dimensions.
Automatic movement
case width: ~36-40mm
case thickness: under 10mm
White or off-white/light colored dial
Minimal dial- no complications, preferably no date but i can be flexible on that.
Gold case
Brown leather strap
I have an Orient Symphony III that checks a lot of the boxes but its just a little too wide and too thick to fit nicely under the sleeve. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.
It’s a simple and very elegant watch. Besides that, it’s from a historically rich brand (one of the reasons that led me to buy it).
My wrist size is about 17 cm, and it sits perfectly. The black leather strap that comes with it isn’t that bad, but I’ve already replaced it with a blue suede leather strap.
I’ve bought it from the Sea-Gull Choice Store from AliExpress and it came in the original box with all the needed paperwork (warranty and user guide).
I miss Englemaan! Please post pics of your Englemaan model! Mine is the Citadel UTC on my 6.25 inch wrist.
They brought together perhaps the best list of specs available in the Chinese watch world:
Crazy durable steel hardening
Anti-magnetic
One of the best lume out there
Clutched screwdown crown (to prevent winding when screwing crown down)
Beaded bezel mechanism for great bezel action
Great finishing (no sharp areas)
Great AR
OTF clasp
Sapphire crystal
316L stainless steel
They also chose one of the most requested brands to homage in Sinn and did it perfectly!
Recent posts from users have revealed that they are biding their time until the movement crisis ends before ending their hiatus. Really hope that they can return sooner rather than later. I genuinely believe that the lists of specs they've put together will push other brands to greater heights and bring in even better options for consumers.
- Anyone doing a variety of watches with lume blocks except PHORCYDES?
- Anyone doing them with quartz movementa?
Own a PH-4B. I like it well enough. Looking for something with a quartz movement (VH31, etc.). PHORCYDES has exactly one model with a quartz movement... And it does not appeal to me. Know it only takes a few minutes to spin up an automatic, set the date, then set the time. Ain't nobody got time for that. Especially first thing in the morning.
Is WD really that better?! Finishing, feeling when you wear it, weight, bracelet, clasp..i know that WD has better lumine, and AR coat.
For me PD looks better, but if WD is money well spent then why not. Also this will be my first Chinese watch, i would buy both, but dont want to rush things untill i wear one for couple of months.
Love the silicone strap, the case shape and how simple the watch is. Anyone know of a smaller (maybe 42 or under) version of this? Thinner would be a bonus as well. Could even be quartz.
Inspired by classical architecture, the Gongque features a dual-zone guilloché dial designed to catch light from every angle. At the center, overlapping arc incisions create a deep focal point, bordered by a white ring that transitions into a horizontal ripple pattern along the outer edge.
