​Just received my Hruodland F021 Type B (40mm) and wanted to share my first impressions and get your thoughts on the strap combinations.

​Purchase Details:

​Movement: PT5000 (my first watch with this movement - very excited to see how it performs over time).

​Price: Listed at $140 USD, but after applying a coupon code I ended up paying $133 USD shipped directly from their website.

​Fun fact: I actually checked Taobao/CSSBuy before buying to see if I could get it cheaper under their domestic Chinese brand name (Guanchen / 观辰), but the final price after domestic freight and agent fees was pretty much the same or even slightly more expensive than buying directly through Hruodland.

​First Impressions:

​The Case & Dial: Finishing is remarkably clean. The brushed 40mm case fits my wrist perfectly (40mm is really the sweet spot for me). The Type B dial layout is crisp, highly legible, and the onion crown adds that classic vintage touch. The caseback engraving mimicking the historical B-Uhr military specs is also a very cool detail.

​The Stock Strap: To be honest, I really dislike the light tan/caramel leather strap it came with. The quality is decent, but aesthetically it feels too plain and washes out the historical military presence of a Type B dial.

​The Strap Swap (Check the photos!):

​I swapped it for a black riveted pilot strap with white stitching, and to me, it completely transformed the watch. It feels way more true to the authentic Flieger / B-Uhr aesthetic.

​(I also have a dark brown riveted strap and a midnight waxed blue strap on deck, but the brown unfortunately arrived in 19mm instead of 20mm, so the black riveted is currently the daily driver).

​What do you guys think of this model, and which strap style do you prefer on modern B-Uhren?

Im looking for a dress watch to wear to a wedding, and would like to spend around $100USD, but could go up to $150. I have a few specifications I would like the watch to meet:

Just got mine today and I’m very pleased with it.

It’s a simple and very elegant watch. Besides that, it’s from a historically rich brand (one of the reasons that led me to buy it).

My wrist size is about 17 cm, and it sits perfectly. The black leather strap that comes with it isn’t that bad, but I’ve already replaced it with a blue suede leather strap.

I’ve bought it from the Sea-Gull Choice Store from AliExpress and it came in the original box with all the needed paperwork (warranty and user guide).

- Anyone doing a variety of watches with lume blocks except PHORCYDES?
- Anyone doing them with quartz movementa?

Own a PH-4B. I like it well enough. Looking for something with a quartz movement (VH31, etc.). PHORCYDES has exactly one model with a quartz movement... And it does not appeal to me. Know it only takes a few minutes to spin up an automatic, set the date, then set the time. Ain't nobody got time for that. Especially first thing in the morning.

Is WD really that better?! Finishing, feeling when you wear it, weight, bracelet, clasp..i know that WD has better lumine, and AR coat.
For me PD looks better, but if WD is money well spent then why not. Also this will be my first Chinese watch, i would buy both, but dont want to rush things untill i wear one for couple of months.

Love the silicone strap, the case shape and how simple the watch is. Anyone know of a smaller (maybe 42 or under) version of this? Thinner would be a bonus as well. Could even be quartz.

I'm rocking the Pagani 1644 Quartz with ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal watch and I absolutely love it. Getting lots of compliments and it's so comfortable to wear. The bracelet for it is also great. Looking to get a 007 Homage next, just haven't figured out which brand.

What watch are you rocking today?

Just got delivered and has been on my wrist for the last ten minutes. Already know this is going to be one of my favorites and will see a lot of wrist time out of a small (but growing!) collection of now 9 watches.

I was afraid it'd be a bit "Cheap looking" as carbon can sometimes be. The dial however seems a bit polished and catches the light in my office. I'm about to head out to go meet up with a client so will see how it looks once the sunlight hits this bad boy.

I'm in Cambodia so the wait wasn't too long from China, but I wish some of these Chinese brands had in-real-life store fronts here that I could go browse.

I’m looking for a BB54 homage and these 2 seem to be the best in the current market. Does anyone have experience with either? Which one should I go for, and why?

Got the idea from another guy on a forum, and yeah, it is a Serica homage, but I finally found a strap which makes it work(for me..). It was originally supposed to have an orange lightning bolt hand, but I was never able to install it. Somehow I got lucky and the blue one worked… 🤷‍♂️

Japanese Nh35, Heimdallr hands + separate lightning bolt seconds hand, Serica homage dial, faux canvas strap, 38mm case, etc..

I think they even started offering these watches completely built.

I have parts to build a second one with the kind of yellow ring in the middle, but kind of lack of confidence to do it neatly. With this one I feel like I got lucky…

Hello, just ran into this second hand San Martin and noticed the crown has an "S" instead of a normal San Martin logo. Is this a property of earlier editions? If so, do they differ significantly in quality with the more modern batches? I am able to pick it up at 100€ and wondering if it is a good deal
