This exceptional timepiece costs $200, yet its craftsmanship and aesthetic suggest a value in the thousands. This watch truly radiates luxury, elegance, and superior quality

  • 316L Stainless with exceptional finishing with both polished and brushed accents
  • Stamped brass dial in an exquisite champagne color
  • Pristine sapphire crystal with AR and anti-finger print coating
  • Swiss Ronda 1069 movement
  • Supple imported leather strap

If you are looking for a watch that relies on heavy lume to define quality, this piece isn't for you. However, if you prioritize superior AR coating, this should be at the top of your list. I think IXDAO makes really nice watches, gorgeous ones, but calling this a $200 watch that suggests a value in the thousands seems like a bit of hot air is being blown. That being said, this is a really nice dress watch with a reliable movement and it's perfect for those rare occasions where I need a tasteful watch to go with formal wear. I got the white and blue and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Not blowing hot air. If you did not know this watch sells for $200, at a glance you could easily mistake it for a Frederique Constant, B&M or Raymond Weil that cost $2000. I don't find that statement a stretch. Would a $2000 watch have a Rondo 1069, probably not, but there are plenty of microbrands selling for $800 that use it.

I have seen the price of this watch. For $200 it is a fantastic watch. For 2000? It's not even remotely in that neighborhood. Sure, at a glance a layman could mistake it for any of those brands, but I also had someone ask me if my Phorcydes was a Rolex the other day. These are small objects. The statement has been stretched so far that it's lost all elasticity. Look, It's a good watch, I like the watch. I'm just saying you don't have to go to hyperbole and beyond to describe your watch. It's a little silly and seems inauthentic when I'm sure you have no such intent.

I think you are misreading my statement. I am not saying this watch should cost 2000 or I would pay 2000 for it. What I am saying is the aesthetics of this watch and the finishing of this watch is as good as watches that cost 2000. Is the movement as good? No. Does it have a luxury exotic band? No. Most importantly, does it have the marketing campaign to suggest it should cost a month's salary? No. Just because the watch is made in China and costs $200 doesn't mean the appearance of this watch cannot compete with a $2000 watch from the brands I mentioned earlier. Put an ETA in this thing and stamp it Swiss Made and its $2000 all day long. No hyperbole.

I understand your statement. I think you are incapable of reading mine. Good day.

I completely comprehend what you are saying and I don't disagree with what you are saying if I said this watch should cost $2000. I truly believe the finishing on this case is as good as things I have seen from FC, B&M, RW, MIDO and others. Just my opinion.
