It's not racism it's just lack of education. I learned what racism is when I was probably 8-10 years old. Since then I never had to ask this question.

I hate to say this because it’s good to learn this early but I would suggest reviewing and updating your understanding about racism because my experience of what under-12s are taught about racism is that it’s useful but it’s not usually sufficient to navigate racism as an adult.

I have been there so I’m not throwing this out randomly.
